Got out Monday morning to go get the seven Tour of Honor memorial sites here in Texas. Picked up a couple of helicopters, one K9, a couple of Gold Star Family sites, two 9/11 memorials, and a Doughboy Statue/memorial.
If you’re keeping track, photos from Halletsville, Yorktown, Pearsall, Ft. McKavett, Mason, Mineral Wells, Weatherford, Gainesville, Texarkana, Kerens, and Lacy Lakeview.
Total miles for the three days was 1579, very windy and bug smashing.

Almost 1600mi . . . . and never left the state. Were you fortunate enough to get in on the Medal of Honor ride Wednesday? I made it once back when I was still working. It'll leave a lump in your throat. Great pics.

I put a new front tyre on yesterday. I will be doing the rear today.

This is the second time I have removed the rear wheel. The first time the cush drive separated and jammed leaving me unable to remove the wheel till I managed to replumb it back in. I thought I was ready today with a tyre lever between the shaft drive housing and the cush drive to keep it with the wheel as I pulled it off the splines. However, I still managed to get them half separated and jammed up. Got it off in the end, next time I will succeed all in one go.

Struggled getting the last bead off the rim (Metzler Tourance). I just need a third hand and it would be a doddle. I just need to grow one or convince someone to come over when I'm doing it next time. Came in for a rest and a cool down (plus a cup of tea of course) before popping on the new tyre which I always find easy compared to getting the old ones off.

i always put gaffa tape on the edge of the rear wheel and cush drive part, so it all comes off as one instead of leaving that part attached and struggle to get off the gaffa tape over the edge works a treat
