I did the same, used 1" wide foam tape. Same stuff you'd use on a truck cap, between it and the bed.I put on a T Rex skid plate about a month ago and the sounds that resonate from down there sounded like a B-17 taking flak over Berlin. So I took off the plate and insulated it with some Kilmatt sound damping material. it really makes a huge difference. The picture does not show the finished product. Also I drilled some holes in the front for some air flow. Much better and tomorrow we ride!

I am a big fan of Motul 7100 4T 10W40. Have been using it for over three years now on my S10. I also feel it quiets the engine, definitely helps it to run a bit coolerI just changed over to Motul 7100 10-40 removing Castrol 10-40 full synthetic after about 5000 miles. Maybe it's just my hearing, but it seems to be quieter just idling. I was running Amsoil before the Castrol. Found the Motul on special, less than either Amsoil or the Castrol.
I may be way off base, but make sure the fender won't hit the lights under full compression.Welded up a driving light bracket and installed some mini LED driving lights under the front fairing, . . . .
I think that would leave a mark....I’m going to have much bigger problems, with my L4 in my Adam’s apple
Woa, where are you living ?Nothing too exiting, just the mandatory every two years state inspection.
Flying colors of course (?), it's a Yamaha.
Dreary weather, no other bikes in sight.

Some states here, have had emission testing for years, cough, cough, California. Other states have had them, and did away with them, Oklahoma. Texas . . . . has the stupidest emission testing regulations of all. Some counties have the testing, and some don't. . . . and all have safety inspections. For example: Dallas, and Tarrant counties have been designated as "dirty" counties. So, Dallas, and Tarrant . . . . and every county that touches them must pass yearly emission testing. (I guess the pollution knows that it has to stay in those counties) If your county doesn't touch a "dirty" county, just a safety inspection. Like you said, good idea . . . . sort of.... The idea is good, who want crappy vehicles on public roads, but you know our mentality ....
