How old was the Yuasa? And, is that 7lb 14.9oz down to 2lb .9oz? The :, and decimal are throwing me off.

I don’t know how long it sat on the showroom floor. I bought it August 2018. And yes it’s 2lbs .09 oz. quite a weight loss.

very nice did similar with PETG to make a design for mounting the external drivers, also playing with water/oil seperator fabric to stop water and dust but let air into them to help cool the leds. still gotta work on my design as what i created works but didnt realize the alignment on the right and left side were diffrent so the box sits at diffrent angles when installed vs what i planed on in the design.

The ST (Honda) has clamshell boxes. I did a similar alteration to the back/bike side of the boxes. Keeps everything in place. That's the perfect place for that kit. Close at hand, but not in the way.

what kind of hooks/loops are you using want to do the same but not pay for the over priced version the make of my boxes want to charge to add something like this.
I used these ones because they were a good combo of larger bolt eye size and smaller D-ring size.

If I did it over again, I might shoot for some that have an 8mm bolt eye opening on the retainer. I also didn't want them to be too thick under the bolt, since there's so very little remaining bolt thread for the nylock (and I didn't want to replace the bolts).

Put an Alt Rider skidplate on this weekend.
It was not a difficult install, but I foresee future oil and filter changes being a bit more fiddly in the future. Rode a short distance between two stops without earplugs and at one point was moderately alarmed about the engine noises I was hearing.

Nice day in the UK today and I am off work  :) so took myself off to Teignmouth Devon for a quick hour on the beach (sunny but pretty chilly though!) and then back through Cheddar Gorge and stopped to watch the climbers practising(rather them than me)
A nice day on the bike and I grow fonder of it by the day .... 20210419_150629.jpg20210419_120112.jpg20210419_145458.jpg20210419_145510.jpg

My Altrider bash plate makes high pitched noises at certain rpm, sometimes I even think I can hear a siren. When it comes off for the next oil change I am either going to stick a bit of rubber matting on the large alloy bottom (inside) or stick some wheel balance weights across it to stop it vibrating and producing the noises.
