Gave the bike a wash and Quick detail.
It's a bitch not having a garage.
Especially in a windy location
(Las Vegas). One really good blow and the bike looks like crap. Damn Dusty desert winds !

At least the winds are not blowing up all the smoke and ash from California!

Yeah, my Cobalt Blue looks good in the sun....until the dust hits. Swiffers work great to remove the dust w/o scratching the paint. ::001::

Replaced the OEM horn. Had bought the Piaa Slim Line sports horn kit and had planned to install the pair as I had on the FJR. Turns out just one of the horns was loud enough for my liking on the Tenere (preferred the sound of the 400 hz compared to the 500 hz).

Balanced my TB's the other night:

They weren't far out of sync at 4,500 miles, but I wanted to adjust the white painted balance cylinder's screw to 1/4-1/2 turn out as recommended to hopefully eliminate a sporadic stumble right off idle that's caused me to stall a couple of times pulling away from a stop light.

I split the difference and went with about 3/8 of a turn (it was completely closed from the factory) and it does seem to run better, idle smoother. A nice and quick procedure with the hinged tank -- only took me about 45 minutes taking my sweet time, finding a T-fitting, etc. All of my previous bikes you've been forced to remove the tank entirely, then you're left trying to precariously balance it on some wood blocks or something ???

Finally got around to getting my amateur/ham radio setup on my bike. I had one on my old bike, was basically just an HT on the handle bars. This time around I went a little further and actually mounted an antenna on my top box. Mounted it on one of the cross bars on my Outback box, then used some adhesive zip tie mounts to route the wire. Ran it under both seats then up the right side under the gas tank, then zip tied it again to some wires the the dealer installed for my LED lights, then it just goes into my tank bag. Using a SR10 with my cheep'o MD380 and Sena 20s headset. Not tried it on the road yet, but it worked really well on my old bike.

Will be great to have the radio again when riding the canyons where there is zero cellphone coverage!!

Don't look how dirty she is, its been 3 weeks since I've washed her ;D

My rider and passenger seats are on the way to Seth Laam for a custom rebuild. ::001::
Did you get your seats back? Would love to see what they look like on the bike. Seth was very well regarded over on the FJROwners forum as well. I was going to send in my FJR seat to him but low and behold I sold the whole bike and bought an S10.

No not yet. He was supposed to call last week for the build details but they must not have got to mine. He is only a small business so things don't happen as fast as some people hope for. I am in no rush as my bike is parked for the winter. I hope to hear from him this week.

Looks good, are your turn lights always on? In the UK they are off until you use them, I like the look of them always being on .

Hmm I wonder if I could just plug a US spec flasher unit it, I'm sure it would be fine in the UK as the Africa Twin has them on permanently. I think I need to investigate!
