Installed my improved Altrider crash bar ( left side) by Jaxon . The radiator is now protected. Also installed a set of pivot pegs that I bought from Jaxon. Look out Colorado, here I come....
Any pics of the crash bar mods?

No report on the Mitas yet as they haven't touched the ground. They look perfect to my eye, much less agricultural than the K60 lugs yet plenty dirt-worthy with enough tread and sidewall to handle 2-up camping trips.

Love to know how you like them after you enjoy some miles with them. After a few 100 miles let us know how they compare with the K-60s. Enjoy! ::001::

On the 4th I took the boys out for a ride.

Joey [son-in-law] likes the new Tenere so much he said he's riding to Alaska with me on it. ::012::

Today I finished fitting a gel pad into my seat, I've ridden the bike myself for 23000 kms, after I purchased it second hand. Total on now is almost 29000. I weigh 105 kg. (231 lbs) for the last year or so I seem to sit right on the seat pan. It really bites into my tail bone and hips. Could feel the pan right there. It was my first go at a seat gel thing, and maybe it could be done slightly better, but I thought I'll try before I spend big $ on a new seat...

Extremely minor, but thought I'd share.

Bluclik... Wireless music controls on the cheap.

I usually don't like to listen to music while I ride unless I'm going to be riding for a really long time. I'm getting ready to head out on a week long trip with some friends and this was a must. On previous trips it was a nightmare to get my music player out of my pocket, get my gloves off and pause the music whenever we came to a stop... or 2 seconds after filling up and getting ready to leave and one of us remember something to say.

This seems to work flawlessly. Via Bluetooth, you can pause, skip songs, adjust volume and answer calls. It's compatible with android and iphones . They claim a 1 hour charge will last about 60 days.

Runs about $25 on Amazon

::012:: Yeah Joey ::008:: Steve one of these years I want to take a trip with you. Your RR always peak my interest and make me envious in a good way. I asked for 3 weeks off about a year ago and boss said no way. Looks like I'll have to be retired before I ride to Alaska. You all be safe and make good memories. Please give us a ride report too.

597 miles, so time for the first service. Had to snug up a bunch of spokes on the rear wheel. None on the front. Exhaust bolts loosened up a little on the left side. Oil and shaft drive oil changed. Once the bolts arrive guess there's nothing left preventing me from adding the bars and skid plate.

Still so much to do to get the bike setup.

Today was a busy day for me! I installed the SW Motech front axle sliders, Steel rear rack plate and 38 liter Evo Top Box. Next will the be matching rear pannier system and rear axle slider set when they come back in stock.

I also installed a 48" battery tender SAE harness and tested it out by giving the battery a quick top off.

I am very lucky to live 20 minutes away from the Twisted Throttle headquarters!

Thank you Yamaray. Lets hope it has an affect!. It is certainly still firm, but I notice pushing my thumb into the seat where I had problem areas, its harder to feel the pan. I take it that the gel is doing what it should. a While still before I get a good trip in. Maybe a 2000 km trip in a few weeks, IF I get to go, and get the time off!

Punched a couple holes in the gas tank filler neck to allow easier fill ups. Scratch All and a Hammer.
