Installed the Stoltec-ed fork tubes. New pistons and seals, and straight-rate 1.0 springs on the SuperTanker. I was surprised it only seemed to take about 20 minutes! Have not ridden yet, I want/need to install the rear shock as well. I have a new set of K60s, but may try to eke another thousand or two miles out of this set. If the front makes it to 26,000, I'll have 20,000 on it and 15,000 on the rear.

Any way that you can let me know the shop? I'm looking for that exact same light and $160 is good. Maybe can order one by phone or internet?

Thanks in advance.
It was my local 4 Wheel Parts store. I was looking on Rigid Industries website for a local dealer and they came up. Checked their website which looks like a national/corporate setup, called my local store to see if they had one in stock before I drove over there. Said they were having a big sale, had one of the hybrid SR's in stock; when I asked how much for it he put me on hold and came back and said he could do it for $160 and would I like for him to hold it for me...

I said I'd be there in a half-hour... The price was $208.99 online - I got the SR 90631..

So you might try and see if there's one near you, and they are making similar deals...

http://www.4wheelparts.com/stores/StoreLocator.aspx

If that doesn't work, Amazon is listing them for $177.55 from Anything Powersports. Just search SR 90631 on Amazon and it'll pop up...

spent the weekend in the shop changed final drive oil then replaced shift shaft assb. checked valve clearance all in spec intake valves where dead on exhaust valves where on low side but still in spec ! after doing the happy dance replaced spark plugs and a new air filter witch extremely needed nasty then i synchronized the throttle bodies this is where i got confused couldn't get it adjusted without turning the white screw the only way i could get it right was turn the unpainted screw all the way in and adjust the white screw out complete opposite of what the service manual says to do i will try checking it again next weekend to see if it changes . and this is the first time i even raised the fuel tank the bike now has 25000 miles on it .

Put about 150 miles on it this morning. Found out that my handlebar bag blocks all the wind that comes around the tank( very nice). And I finally broke down and washed it.

Added a KOSO display unit. It displays voltage, temperature, and time. I don't need the clock but I do want temperature and voltage. It is water proof and it is attached to the clutch fluid reservoir with Velcro.

I installed a set of mirror extenders that I bought off of EBay. Still well below freezing here in The Lou and snow starts again tomorrow.

I caved in and bought the Oxford Adventure grips, even though my Oxford Touring grips had only been on about a year. For only $89 bucks, why not. But the main reason was that I loved how the new Adventure version matched the OEM grip length. While I was at it, I bought a Kaoko throttle lock to go with it.

I'm going to stop whining about having to stay off the bike for the last week or so.
The roads were clear today, around Ada anyway, just sayin'... ::001::

I have to say, I'm not super sympathetic. There's still 3 feet of compacted snow and ice between me and my bike. ::003::

Tried to install my new Excel throttle lock but couldn't get it to fit correctly. I had my dealer install OEM heated grips (that I bought on Ebay for about 70% of what the dealer charges) a couple of weeks ago and they didn't do a very good job. I'm sure that's why the throttle lock didn't fit. Going to have to find some washers to insert as shims between the end of the bar the the throttle lock. Should have installed the grips myself, but I was taking the bike in for the 600 mile service anyway so figured I'd give them a shot.

By the way, as others have posted here, the Excel throttle lock is a beautifully machined and conceived piece of work. And Tom Dowel (the owner and fabricator) provides great support.
Wanted to follow up on this post. I bought a few washers at Home Depot for about $0.50 to fill the gap between the Excel throttle lock and the bar end (this was a couple of weeks ago). The lock works great and looks great. And have to say again how awesome Tom Dowel is. He called me twice - once after I placed the order and again after I emailed him about the fitting problem. When does that ever happen? Feels good to support small shops like that.
