Added Altrider engine bars, Crash bars sound as if I intend to crash.
Very much so!!! I completely trust their work. Zac, Service Manager, is amazing and very knowledgable. Let them know Phil Challinor sent you. I get nothing for it but it lets them know that they aren't dealing with one of their 20 something "it's bitchin'" crowd. Ha ha.AlsoRan said:Does Roseville Yamaha have a reputable service department say to do a valve adjustment?
Thanks for the feedback! I am getting close to a valve check so will likely make the trip soon.Firefight911 said:Very much so!!! I completely trust their work. Sean, the owner, is there most of the time. Introduce yourself to him and I am confident you will feel at ease immediately.
Thanks EricV , I followed your tip, worked perfectly !EricV said:@Ridefire - Nice! ::008::
In a word, Yes. Mine was in there really tight too but go easy with the pliers as the baffle can deform if you grip it too tightly (don't ask me how i know this :). I also inserted the handle of a screwdriver to wiggle the baffle around and loosen it before pulling it out, which seemed to help.copb8 said:I installed my new Leo Vince exhaust. I wish all upgrades were this easy. Haven't had a chance to take it out yet but will do it this weekend.
Question, I tried to pull the baffle out to hear how it sounds but it wouldn't budge. I removed the holding screw but it was still stuck tight. Do I just get some pliers on it and pull hard?
Nope, 8000 miles is good for the Tourance. I got 8200 on the Tourance EXP stock tire. Many get far less.Red dust said:Changed my stock rear Metzler Tourance to a Heidenau K60 this morning, stock was gone already at 13500 km`s (8437 miles) but I guess quite a bit of dirt road acts like a sandpaper on the tyre.
I'm only 5'7" with a 30" inseam, so while I'm not looking through the screen it would be hanging in my line of vision. No thanks, especially when riding offroad. But TEHO.... ::008::EricV said:Well, for some, it's about not looking away from the road while looking at the GPS. The more you have to look down, the less of your awareness is on the road. Or at least that's the argument. I have a mount just above the gauge pod for a GPS, and one on the front of the tank bag. If I'm not going to be poking it much, I put it on the higher mount. If I'm going to be poking it, like during a rally, I put it on the tank bag mount. If it's a multi-day rally or trip, I'll mount two units to avoid potentially having one die and no back up.
I don't find myself looking at the road thru the screen in normal riding. I'm looking over the screen and farther ahead. Look at the rock, hit the rock. Look where you want to go, go there.
Looking good David! Which Jesse panniers are those?Fatallybitten said:
Granted, the Multi is way faster than the Big Blue Pig, but it sounds like his speedo is just as full of shit as yours.kmac said:Rode about 150 miles today with my buddy on his MTS 1200....damn that thing is fast !!!
We rode Ortega Hwy, a bunch of OC, up El Toro to Live Oak Canyon {I believe Live Oak to be the best 4+- miles of road in Cali, hands down} Antonio Pkwy and back over Ortega.
It was a "CHILLY" 67* today and a bit over cast so it really sucked
I was in 4th gear on a little stretch of Ortega at about 120 and my MTS buddy rips by me....my jaw dropped at how fast he closed and passed me. The TEN is a great bike and an incredible overall performer but on sheer HP and handling on the street the Duc is ridiculous fast !! He ripped by just a few hundred feet out of the turn at 150 mph.
GREAT afternoon of riding on the Ten though.
