Mine freaked me out, it was laying on its side with its tank bag unzipped, and it's handlebar shoved down its bag. Too much Christmas dinner I guess. :)

Dropped mine off at the dealer for the first 600 mile service....pick it up at 3 pm then I will just see how many tires I can wear out ::013::

That is after I do the CJM and ABS bypass button for the occasional extreme use...then save for fuel, and tires...."the future is so bright...I gotta wear shades"

I ordered a Powerlet harness, a Hepco & Becker rear brake reservoir protector (I like the idea of having something between the reservoir and muck being flung at it) and a water pump protector. Should have them by the 31st.

Finally had enough time off to get it all back together.

Latest update to my forks is done and installed. Removed a bit more hi speed compression damping while freshening up the fluids and putting on new seals. All the bushings were in prisitne shape so nothing else was needed. Initial observation is very positive. I'm looking forward to Death Valley at the end of February to really give them a workout.

ECU flash is ridiculous!!!!!! I figured it would help in the off idle stuff and smooth some things out but I truly under estimated the breadth of improvement it made throughout the entire envelope. Good grief!!!!! This is an entirely transformed bike now. Right behind investing in suspension this is the thing to do to your bike! Don't question it. Don't balk at the cost. Just do it!!!!!

Brand new brakes all the way around. EBC organic on the rear and HH on the front.

And now I have to get to work on the farkling of my brand new WR250R that my wife bought for me for Christmas!!

Oh, it's gonna be a good year of riding in 2014!!!! Maybe Alaska, maybe Maine. Haven't decided yet. Hmmmmmmmm..............

While waiting for the "big thaw" I decided to add a MadStad adjustable windscreen bracket and Givi Trekker Outback side cases. Actually, I only received the left side case. The right case is back ordered through Twisted Throttle.

MadStad went on without a hitch.

Really liked the way the the Givi rack installed. Everything seemed to just fit perfectly.

The left side is the 37l. I am waiting patiently for the 48l right side to arrive.

Organized my tankbag. Funny how so many odds and ends are added over the months.

Removed the side cases... checked the fasteners... opened the DS Aluminum Storage Box, this is where I keep tire repair stuff. Drying stuff and cleaning tools. Discovered a lot of moisture, one tool (Yamaha 19mm axle wrench) with rust, many with corrosion, everything is wet. Looking for *desiccant packets and a corrosion resistant coating for the tools.

Installed a tail bag (tools, first aid, clothes) for a ride on Sunday.

Checked tire pressures.

Added locations to the GPS.

*removed the upper mounting bolts, applied a sealer, reinstalled the mounting bolts. Hope this stops the water leak.

Nice pics. I wonder if that bracket that goes around the top mount bar is sold separately, then the regular Givi pannier mounts could be converted to be able to carry these bags.

Btw, the 48 is going to make your bike WIDE. Guess it doesn't matter if you don't have to or can't lane-split.

Agreed... After putting on the 37l left side case I am starting to rethink the decision to go with the 48l right side.

There wasn't an exploded view of the racks with the Givi paperwork so unfortunately I can't seem to find a part number for the top bracket.
