I fitted my Excel Throttle Control, then went for a test ride of over sixty miles :)

Excellent piece of kit, which will save some wrist strain on a long run ::008:: I hope you can see it in the pic :D

edited - I've added a second pic, as the first one doesn't blow up very well

Just got home from the GP weekend. Spain won everything. Every class. That country doesn't play T-ball at 5 years old. They put their kids on a bike and let em ride. FAST.

Never knew there were so many Ducatis in the world. Italian ART everywhere. Dry clutch chirping is imbedded in my brain.

Other than my helmet rubbing my burnt forehead, and some sore clutch hand from traffic getting into and out of the track today, it was an epic weekend. Even the wife had a blast. (Funnest lady in her 50's that I know)

Finished off the weekend ride by cutting across an empty corner property without warning her. Stood on the pegs with my butt in her face and gas it across the dirt. Cut through a deep ditch back up on our road. She was a hootin and hollering. Killer weekend.

I thought about riding it while at Lego land today. That was as close to doing something to my Tenere as it got.

They came up with this thing a few years back... hmmm, what was it called again... it blocks the sun, you wear it on your head, some will even protect your neck... ::010::

Obviously not born in the state ::025::

This is the truth:

Most folks would NOT recognize me without a cowboy hat on. Including the wife and kids.
It doesn't ever get left behind. Not even dirt riding. (notice below on tail rack)

Don't know how to explain ending up at turn 15 grandstands with my fat head unprotected.

When fully loaded, it's in the right pannier on top.

I saw a Blue Tenere with silver crash bars in the H Lot at MotoGP. I was sunburnt and facing a long ride home, so I didn't hang around. Great racing though. The ending of the Moto3 was awesome.

I also did a little impromptu offroading. Heading into Bastrop the traffic stopped. I blasted through the weeds onto the service road and went waaay up to the front of the line.

Not today, but last Friday I put a mini fuse in the clutch switch connector and went for a putt. Amazing difference IMO. Much smoother and much better off the line.

Walked past 7 or 8 Teneres total. Sure there were some I didn't see since there were rows I didn't get near.
Yea, both moto 2 and 3 had far more drama up front. Honda found something at COTA that nobody else did. Kinda backfired on the drama. Regardless, there is nothing on 2-wheels like GP bikes. The last place bike is wicked fast. TV can't reveal that.

Also did the front turn signal changeover to clear lenses and dual color LEDs. I have a 25 sec video around here somewhere and will see if I can puzzle out the link....

I think the rumbux makes the bike look fat! Look at it compared to this Tiger (with a custom front fender)!

But when I keep looking at it, it makes me think of the A10 Warthog... What a neat plane. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairchild_Republic_A-10_Thunderbolt_II

But on the other hand, I really like it. I sure heard a lot of stuff pinging off of it this last weekend. So I know it's working.

Pulled the forks.

Thus taking the key out of the ignition switch. Very difficult thing to do for me. I have NEVER had it un-ride-able for a single day since it was assembled at the pdp destination dealer.

Gonna be a looooong week. I might clean the carbs on the KTM.

I got a license plate somewhere around here for that thing. :)

Seriously, it was not street legal when I track-farkled it out.
But it just needs lights all put back in.
And battery
And carbs gone through.

Sinful to let this happen. I blame the Tenere.

Sounds like a Hallmark moment. I am sure she felt special :-*

Trouble with getting it dirty, is I don't know if you ever get it clean again. Mine hasn't been the same since I followed Sail2xxs through some dirt and gravel last fall. Once it get dirty, it's like a magnet, the dirt just keeps appearing. No idea why... ::)
