Low speed maneuvering is much easier....no surging.
MPG will probably improve with a little wrist control and taking it out of sport mode.

Mounted my accessory bracket, and put on my TT 3L fuel bottle. Nothing like drilling 4 holes in an expensive ass pannier ??? Then went for a 200 mile run to check out their wind resistance ::)

Looks like your helper approves of the latest mod.

I finally got around to installing my Sargent seat and Leo Vince carbon can. Both look great but I have to wait 24 hours for the silicone exhaust gasket to set. But, daylight saving time is here and Spring is right around the corner. Maybe I'll get to commute to work this week ::012::

Silicone Exhaust gasket? Is something you added? Mine did not come with any type of gasket.

Rumbux guards went on and in the process... had to change my oil filter to get the skid plate to fit. The previous owner had placed a longer oil filter on the bike that hit the skid plate. So I went ahead and changed the oil using a Mobil 1 M1-108.

By the way... the info linked at - http://www.yamahasupertenere.com/index.php?topic=1326.0 - has a discrepancy. Maybe it was fixed in a later post at that thread, but I did not have time to wade through it all. Under the oil filters section in the link I just gave, the "Purolator Pure One - PL14612" is listed as 2.5" long. It is well over three inches long. I wonder if the two Purolater filters listed here had their lengths juxtaposed. I am certain, however, that the PL14612 is over 3" as I just took it off my bike.

Glad to see you got the Rumbux installed w/o too much drama. I've run the 14610 in the past on the FJR, but don't recall the length, just that I remember it being about the same as the stock FJR filter, which is longer than the stock S10 filter. I may hit the auto parts store tomorrow and measure a 14610 and 12 for future reference. Was the filter you took off blue or yellow?

NO pics, but forks and rear spring are off to the doctor for a face lift, ok tummy-tuck, no really a spring and valve job. No rear shock at this time, just heavier spring for it. All was super easy to remove. Funny how the little cable guide for rear shock got in the way of removal. Once moved, opresto, out she came!!!

Maintenance: Oil Change
Farkles: Added Caribou Case Liners to my Pelican cases - Helps keep the stuff in the case so it doesn't fall out. Also added Caribou Side Case Organize.

Brought it home in 1 piece.

Packed it like a mule for the return trip home.
Just over 700 miles and wanted to get home before dark.
Might be the fastest I ever made that distance on a bike.
4 tankfuls, 1breakfast stop, 1 fast lunch.

Left at daybreak (7:30 because of time change)
Got home at 7:15

Had her running 90-95mph all the way through the first 2 tanks. She gulped em down with miserable mileage. :)

Here she is waiting for the sun to show just a bit a light so we could see the desert critters.
