Actually over the past few days I:

Installed madstad brackets with cross bar
Moved my GPS to the cross bar
Mounted my GoPro on my crashbars
And got myself a gas can (I stupidly ran out of gas last week on my S10 while seeing if I could streatch it to a gas station), that fits in the side bag. http://www.redagascan.com/
Sorry, no pictures

It has been eighty days since my last ride.....
The walls are closing in, again.....
That was when the skies opened, the wind turned cold,
and massive amounts of `expletive deleted` fell from the skies.....

WHY is there no count-down clock to tell me when I can Tenere again?

240 US miles, it was mostly commuting miles. It was close to 50 miles with the low fuel indicator flashing. I knew better too! I almost stopped at the exit before to get gas, if I would have, I would have been Ok. I have gone that before without filling up for gas too. IIRC, my best without running out of gas, is 243 miles and I put in 5.5 US gallons. I've actually put in 5.5 US gallons into the bike on a few occasions. I don't think the bike has a full usable 6 gallons. [The horror, you can't use all the gas in the bike!! I better sell it quickly.... LOL]

Lessons learned:

1) At reasonable highway speeds, the low fuel indicator means you have about 40 miles left.
2) Progressive Insurance was great, they brought me gas. I just had to pay for the gas, everthing else was covered by the policy.
3) If I had known, VA DOT Safety patrol could have helped me too. Need to write down their number for future reference.
4) It gets colder on the side of the interstage than at the gas station when it's about 35F out.
5) Heated gear rocks.

Others have gone before you. Tape where you will cut, it helps give a cleaner edge.

Or, consider using some other material instead of cutting down the stock screen. There is a guy in Australia(?) with a diamond plate screen. If you want the shorter screen look like your example, you could easily snag some material at the local home improvement store and play with it w/o as much stress as cutting on the stock windscreen.

I cut my OEM windshield 3 times, now it's 33cm 13" tall and 34.5cm 13" 1/2 at the widest point. The Givi is on the bike now, I have the shorty for warmer days, it's also small enough that I can put it in the luggage if I'm going to stay somewhere hot (off-roading for some) for few days.

Installed my new Givi treker 52 top case on the SW Motech top case rack. Iit fits and looks great. It matches the Givi Treker 33's I have for side cases.

Installed the Poweret heavy duty LH outlet in the left-side black plastic just aft of the windscreen. The harness barely reached from the battery. Powerlet would be well-advised to add about 6" to the harness rather than using a generic length. It's obvious that they didn't have an S10 for measurement. I had to use less-than-ideal routing to make it work. The wires are routed just fine for functional purposes, but they don't look very professional because there wasn't enough length to follow the loom the entire way.

Very glad to finally have an outlet that can handle some current. I bought several adapters in uncluding pigtails for an SAE connector, coaxial connector, battery charger connector and car cigarette lighter style socket.

I found it mildly annoying that the hole saw they sent was just a hair too small, but easily fixed that with a few scapes of a pocket knife.
