I don't want to wear folks out about maintenance all the time, but I see crazy stuff. LOL. Yesterday I came across a (FB) KTM post about some clutch fluid. I saved the photo because I just recently came across a Tenere that looked almost the same. So just for a color/reference/volume picture, dont forget to take a look at your brake and clutch fluid this winter. Make sure its fresh and filled to the correct level, very important !

Don't forget that clutch / brake fluid is Hydroscopic, it attracts condensation and water. Over time it collects water in, or on the fluid is not good.

(And for folks that don't know, this fluid should be virtually clear)

That looks like a lot of water infiltration, maybe from the top seal? Dirt gets under that seal and then it weeps and takes on water. Seen it on other bikes i got dirrrty.

That is not Hydrosopic - that is hydroflooded

maybe the bike went swimming and while trying to lift the bike up the lever was pressed a few times under water - this could have sucked water into the MC as it looks rather low.
otherwise the MC was not sealed correctly.

Yeah, I've seen fluid get dark/black, but never that color. I think Gigitt is right about a leak. 'Cuz . . . . the level . . . . the color. . . . that's not just "no maintenance".

No doubt.......... just give your machine a quick look for “general maintenance” sake. :)

I see theres some negative reviews of this product - mainly the reverse shifting/plumber part that its quite wobbly and not smooth or positive.
But i very much like the idea.

I can see that; it's exactly what I was wondering watching the video. That would be my least used function any way. I love the pass thru socket, especially with the SAE/metric capabilities. It's a compromise tool from start to finish. If you need something precise, and/or heavy duty. . . . get the right tool. I understand that going in.

Yup. That's why I chose it for on the bike. That, a Vessel JIS screwdriver kit, a set of allen keys, and a pair of pliers. Kit complete. The only thing I've used the "pipe wrench" for was to tighten a highway peg. Worked fine.
Oh, and to stay on track, I rode to work today. 24f when I left home. 40 min commute. Did the seat leveling mod at lunch.

New battery and a brisk 60 mile ride on the Tenere this afternoon. Went up to a 14S battery and got a few more CCAs to help spin the twin. Guess my NOS '18s battery didn't like sitting in a crate for two years...good as new now!
