Same meter , BUT different seller :Don in Lodi said:Can you post the manufacturer of that meter please?
I'm going for a theme of just enough storage and protection to keep the weight light and low. I'm old enough now (mid 50's) that protection suitable for hard falls and the extra weight of large bags/loads won't help if I bang myself up too much. I don't care if the bikes survives but I can't ride it. I'll swap the seat next Friday then I'm gonna throw some miles on it.snuffcityrider said:Looking good hogmolly, like'n the shop as well.

She's a whole new dance partner with that front end fixed up. GONE is the brutal high-speed damping issue. (If you ever experience the hydra-lock over washboard)Bigbore4 said:Well.....It wasn't just today.
Ohlins Suspender's check
Did I mention Ohlins suspenders? Man I cant wait! I really would like a god rain to wash down the salt, but fuggit, I am gonna test ride it tomorrow. Just gotta get the plastic all back on.
Me likey, you build it?EricV said:Removed a couple of things that are not going with the sold bike. Test fit the SuperTank. Fits perfect, no clearance issues and with tank bag on top, no interference with gauges and GPS view.
Probably the worst for the high speed compression damping was expansion ridges on the freeway. Probably do to the temperature extremes and spread, up here we have ridges on the freeway that are like speed bumps or "topes". At 75 to 80 they will clang yir teeth together.snakebitten said:She's a whole new dance partner with that front end fixed up. GONE is the brutal high-speed damping issue. And the rear end can now be tamed for a much wider spread of cargo configurations. Solo with no cargo, 2-up, or full pack-mule status.
I predict you will love it!
Local welder quoted me $600 and stuck to it. A little blocky, but for the cost, I'm ok with it. (He won't do another for that price!) Totally functional for my needs. I'll have it primed & LineX'd black and toss it on the new bike. Not sure what the useable volume is, but should be 8.5 or so gallons. Keep me in the range of the wife's GSA and gives me space for the camping box on the back.Bigbore4 said:Me likey, you build it?
I am not using LineX on the inside. I will be having the outside sprayed with LineX after it is primed in lieu of traditional paint. This will hide some of the imperfections and give me a very durable outside finish as well. The inside will not be getting any coatings. After reading a lot about inside coatings, I'm staying away from them. The better ones are supposed to be ok with the alcohol in fuels now, but a lot can go wrong and make a mess. No coatings on the oem tank.hogmolly said:Interesting super tanker. Will be cool to see the completed job. Is line-X a good inner full tank liner? I have seen speciality products for liners and then people use POR15 on older restoration bikes. This is the first time I've heard of Line-X but I know from my truck beds it is tough.
In what? Noise of debris hitting the plate? (that stirs up the earplug thread...)kmh said:Added some Dynamat sound absorbing material to my Alt Rider skid plate...HUGE improvement
