Installed a Givi pannier rack to go with my Kappa KGR33 cases. Installation was a breeze. However before getting to this point, getting the rack was a challenge. Ordered from a Givi dealer n waited 2 months n at the end had to cancelled the order due to the indefinite wait. I found a S10 rider in Singapore who was selling his n bought it with the help of my sister who lives there. 3 months later I collected the racks after she brought it down to Malaysia. 5 months wait n half hour installation.... All worth it.

Added a trailer hitch from member Z06. The location of the photo was for the Moto Photo Tag Game.

Minimate pop-up camper. So far it's not playing well with the position of the hitch on the bike, so how to do so is in work.

Installed a Yoshimura RS4 slip on over the weekend. Amazing how much real estate the stock muffler took! The RS4 takes up only half the space. The exhaust sound is about the same, but a bit quicker and responsive.

I also installed a K&N air filter as well. Now that part woke up the S10's response! Later in the year I will get the full Arrow exhaust installed.

I also added my new Givi 58 liter Trekker top case onto my Altrider rack. I am still not a fan of the plastic Givi cases, but this aluminum case is just outstanding!

I can say this much, working on the S10 is much easier than on my former FJR.

Looking into a set of fog lights or auxiliary lighting. So much to choose from.

I am enjoying my S10. It is a fantastic bike!

Stripped and re-greased my steering and rear suspension bearings yesterday. Steering head bearings were a breeze to do but the swing arm/suspension linkage was a real ball-ache. Took me over an hour, just to get the swing arm spindle out, as it had been assembled bone dry and had rusted up tight. Once it was out, the rest of the job was easy enough to do and everything is now rust free, fully greased up and back in its rightful place. Now I just have to go and get some exhaust paste and refit the slightly leaky header pipes..............again. ::)

Brought it to Romney Cycles to get the valves done. Good thing, too, apparently. The exhaust valves were "way out". I'll get the numbers when they're done. Hopefully it will start easier and run a bit smoother. I'll do throttle body sync to smooth things out soon enough.

Just got back from Texas. I took the bike to see Jaxon at Ride On ADV. Last month I contacted him about adding some performance to the bike. We decided to flash the ECU, add an Arrow header, a power commander V with autotune and Jaxon's custom map. He installed a high performance Barnett clutch plate and also suggested a modification to the air box which he invented and added Uni high performance filters. On top of that, he synced the throttle bodies, adjusted the suspension, added Rox risers and extension cables for the clutch and brake. Basically he reinvented the bike for me.

The results? Absolutely fantastic! The bike revs faster, pulls harder, runs smoother... it's just better in every way. The risers allow me to stand comfortably without any bending at the knees or waist. Perfect!

Before I left, Jaxon went over the work thoroughly with me explaining everything done in detail. He also pointed out some things to keep an eye on that I wouldn't have otherwise known. I am impressed.

I cannot highly recommend Jaxon's work enough! If you have any questions about the modifications or Ride On ADV in general, I'd be happy to answer them to the best of my ability. Or just call Jaxon and let the man himself answer them for you.

Some pics...

I found out yesterday that the winglets make great little solar mirrors so I decided to make them "match" the bike a little better. It looks a lot closer to the stock color in person than it does in the pics. You get the idea. Also installed my Heed crash bars. Not a bad fit. Leverage on the top of the top hoop can flex them quite a bit, I think. Main lower contact has no flex, though. I'm not unhappy with them, and I think they'll probably do just fine unless I get the bike almost upside down. Still a ton more protection than the air either way.

Put my Metzler Tourance Next's on and went for a ride to scrub them in. Good tires so far, but honestly the feel like the BW's did when they were new. Definitely a harder compound. I used balancing beads in the tires, which I have a secret to getting to flow in through the valvestem now LOL (use an Aero-latte between the valve stem and the wheel). They work great. Bike is super smooth. Rockymountain had a great deal on them 280 + a $50 Mail in rebate brought them to 230 with free shipping. Very happy so far on the 80/20 type riding I do. Need to get them off road now.

I Installed the R&G ShockTube for the rear shock. It was a bit fiddly and I needed 2 pairs of needle nose pliers but I got it done. The size we need for the S-10 is 10"x11" if anyone else wants to do this. Just make sure to clean and dry the shock well before you put the shocktube on.

I mentioned in another thread that a couple of weeks ago I became a proud S10 owner. Whenever I get a new (to me) bike I like to dive in right away and address any issues, add farkles, etc. and this bike is no different. I have a few more things to address (luggage, suspension, non-annoying wind screen) but over the weekend I made lots of headway. I added a Fuzeblocks FZ1, rewired a few things, and added LED aux lights and a Stebel Nautilus. Then, I installed the decal kit that the PO graciously threw into the deal...much better IMO. Oh, installed a new set of 705's as well.
