Installed some hyway pegs (14" forward) that use to be RoadStar pass pegs.
And I almost have my brake line extenders done for the taller handlebars. ::013::
Dam they look like some killer tip over bars !!
I was moving vehicles around because of the snow and slipped on the ice and bent the crap out of my shifter i believe a set of these would have saved me !! GREAT JOB

They should definitely protect the eng. cases some.

Found a pic with just 30mm risers installed, compared to the new handlebars.
Just looks more comfortable.
The mirrors are easier to view also.
Your neck is not pointing upwards in the second pic (also you look faster)

Got two new Mitas E-07 Dakar tires mounted and balanced today, then took it for a ride! Found some lingering snow in North Georgia...

Met an out of town friend for breakfast... did a short river ride... came home and replaced the DC Outlet fuse... out the driveway for another clear weather ride.

I didn't do much but I thought I'd contribute. I put my new Givi tank bag on with the locking ring. Cool system. Then I installed a pigtail on the battery for a Tender or air pump or what have you. I also installed my Alt Rider crash guards. I'll wait to install the Alt Rider skid pate until after my first oil change. 0 miles on the bike but heading to San Diego (maybe Baja) in June. First oil change at 600 miles and the second at around 2500 miles. After that, it's every 3500 miles or so.
Any recommendations on a dry bag for the rear rack?
Nelson Rigg Adventure Dry Bag is what I use. 100% satisfied with this bag.

I pulled a nail out of a recently installed rear tire (isn't that the way it always works?). Fewer than 250 miles on the tire, nail was bent so it didn't make a straight hole. Plugged with a Dynaplug as the nail was very thin. Went for a test ride and, sure enough, 10 miles down the road I'm on 15 lb of pressure. Made it back home. Since the hole wasn't straight, the plug didn't fill the entire track of the nail. Guess I'll break down the tire and install and internal patch. Which means battling the 3 tire irons again (one of these days the mojo lever will get the entre bead back on and not push the thing around the wheel! I know, its me and not the lever...).

Don't they make a bead lock/clamp of some sort to stop that?

Installed my PC-8 and Skene controller for my driving light. Have a dash shelf coming in and I'll hardwire in switch for the Skene, voltage meter for heated gear and a USB charger for my tank bag.

Did a suspension upgrade, a new Penske shock and new seals, oil, springs and Penske valves for the front forks.

Now I just need to get it all dialed in.

My S10 has 3000km on the odo, and yesterday decided to mess around with the CO settings. Set both cyi to +3. Wow, what a difference!

Perceived improvements are:
1. Under T mode, feels a lot more responsive, less shuddering and vibration around 3k revs. Feels like a 1200cc bike instead of a 250cc. T mode is useful, doesn't feel lame and laggy. Using an incorrect gear at low speed doesn't cause the engine to 'complain' but instead it feels the power delivery comes quicker to overcome the 'complain'. I think drivability is a better word to describe low speed performance.
2. Under Sports Mode. I had just a short moment to squeeze the throttle to pass a few cars in a short safe passing zone, and this bikes pulls better.

Doesn't feels like the fuel economy is worse off. Enjoying the bike more now.

Changed the sparkies (pretty knackered as you can see). Also broke the top off coil no.2 whilst trying to get it out. My own fault coz I left them too long. Knew No.2 would be trouble coz it was last time also. Ordered the new coil though and I should be back on the road very soon. Ended up taking the head off to get that damn coil out. Worth it though coz it gave me chance to clean things up a bit.
