I've had two striker fired pistols now, and I really do prefer the hammer fired double/single action on the 39-2 or similar pistols. I know that a lot of people have the exact opposite opinion, but I liked the fact that follow up shots after the initial double action pull were single action. Our issued Beretta 96D was double action only, and that was a looooong trigger pull.

Our H&K USP was a double/single. I learned, and practiced, to cheat. As I was pulling it out of the holster, I was pulling the hammer back. Became muscle memory. I have a P229 in .357, and it's a double action only. I complained about the long, and fairly heavy, trigger pull. But when we were doing drills with it, I shot very well with. (I was told to eat a bag of dicks by another guy in the class) So, I guess I should stop complaining about it.

This is a good video, because without a good grip, (in a pocket gun), a full auto doesn't make much sense...

I have a Glock 26 (9mm) with that same grip issue; you have one finger hanging loose. So I did the same thing, and bought a magazine extender which gave me one extra round and a place to put my pinky finger. At which point you realize that, now that you've added that extra accessory, you've basically created a short barreled Glock 19, and should have just bought the Glock 19 in the first place.

It might be a workable solution for the Glock 42 since, if you want a Glock in .380 that's the only choice. For the other subcompacts (from Glock, at least), I don't think the slight advantage in concealability is worth the trade off. I'm opting for a full size grip in any future purchases.
My math sucks. You get two additional rounds with a magazine extension, for a total of 12 rounds in a Glock 26, not 11.

This is a small selection of a bigger selection. Took the picture during an evacuation order from a wild fire happening.
The majority are in a vault that I wont post pictures.
Anything of interest, ask, other then some of the new stuff on here there are some that are nearly 120yrs old and some with interesting history behind it.

You’re looking at this Marlin, 1895SBL .47-70 with a Vortex scope. It packs a wallop, she's a beauty and one of my favorite. More of a show piece for me, I strictly show it off and put holes in papers with it. LOL
If your into Jurassic Park series in the 2018 Jurassic World movie, Chris Pratt as Owen packs the same rifle with him, while riding on a Triumph Scrambler...now how cool is that, hard to beat that.
It also was used in another movie, Jeremy Renner in Wind River had one, also a great show.

The thing that spun me out was that the special response team blokes would come around occasionally &, while the frontline officers are issued Glock 17s, they get a much better quality STI with hammers instead of strikers.
The gun is also in the holster with the hammer back & loaded with a strip of leather over the top between the hammer & the firing pin.
Of course, these blokes train all day every day and don’t shoot themselves in the leg while holstering a Glock.

Personally, full auto doesn't make much sense in anything, but a belt fed. Ya' just can't keep it fed otherwise. But I am biased being a sierra and all. One shot . . . . .
I’m with you on that. Pray & spray just puts lead everywhere you don’t want it.

I’d just like something different that you don’t see here much, like an M1 Garand or similar.

If you don’t load your own, a 45-70 here will cost you $3 a shot!
