This one was my Dad's. I wish he was around to tell me more about it. It's a shortened "tanker" model. It's been sitting in his gun closet for the last 50+ years.
Ohh, that's amazing. I think it may be chambered in .308 Win as well then. Nice firearm. I haven't fired my Garand in years, I got it out after seeing yours along with my 1903A3. Thank you for sharing.

I've never even seen one of them. And the guy I got my rifles from didn't have one. I thought he had one of everything; he had 2 B.A.R.s. My first thought was that it was a M1a SOCOM. Then I saw the Garand mag. What's the cut out forward of the trigger? It's still 30.06 isn't it?

I put my M1a into a synthetic stock to preserve the walnut. I looked to do the same with my Garand, but they don't make aftermarket for them. I just have to be real careful.

I’m already waiting 5 weeks for the invite to the intake…. After the intake the process of judgement if I am suitable to own a fire-arm starts… already gathered a sh*tload of paperwork and autographs from different people. Al the pre-work is done, just waiting for the authorities now.

The R6 kid started his new job a couple of weeks ago. The new job came with new tools. Nothing remarkable about the Glock other than the Trijicon red dot. But the AR is an 11" LWRC piston driven, and suppressed. We shot it today. With regular rounds it's only slightly quieter; less boom but still has the "sonic crack". With sub-sonic rounds, no ear protection is needed. Kinda like an air nailer. Less recoil too. (not like a .223 has much to start with)

Full choke? It's got the length for a classy old goose gun. The fore end makes me think 1940's.

It is a full choke. It was my grandfather's. I bought a later 20 ga,, but the quality was no where near the same.

Even more visible wear. Why are .410s hard to find? Low demand? Or still catching up with 12/20 ga demand before they dial up the .410?

Love the Ithica. When I was working (LEO), we carried the model 37/87, barrel was shorter, and no choke. The guns served the department for somewhere around 40 years, and were finally retired due to lack of replacement parts.

I was able to get one when they retired them. The one I have has the synthetic stock, which replaced the wood stock that I normally carried.
The model 37 and 87 were the same, just in 1987 they changed the number.
