I'm pretty sure DirtDad and possibly his better half were coming.
Just got in from confirming Dirt Mom will not be able to make it. She had hopes, but not long after getting on the bike today it was just too uncomfortable. Hopefully the surgery later in October will eliminate those issues.

I still plan on coming. We have Friday and Saturday reservations at the lodge. Since I'm now solo I'm thinking I should probably camp, but if that rain forecast holds for Friday night...? Hmmm, not sure where I'll be sleeping, but do expect to do Friday evening through Sunday morning with you gents.

DirtDad, ditto on things getting better for your wife. I've got a friend coming along on a DR650 so that will fill my campsite. Lets hope the forecast holds!

I am in. Any possible way i can split a site with anyone?

I have most of Friday off, so I will be up there whenever the backroads allow me. Coming from Richmond.

Yep, it is my backyard ya know. Now you know why I'm OK with a drive up campground registration.

I will be serving hot dogs and beer in the campground on Fri. evening...health food!...

10 seems optimistic for you. I've mapped out a 400 mile course that the GPS is saying will take me 10. And I'm pretty sure I'm closer than you. Of course I put in a lot of twisty roads between home and Twin Falls. I may have to cut some of that out to make it before dark.

Both the local TV and the NWS out of Blacksburg say that it will definitely feel like fall at night...low 40s and upper 30s. Sounds like frost on the pumpkin.

Dang, I may have to turn up the heat in my lodge room if it gets that cold outside. ;D

DirtDad, My route, which is reasonably straight even though the roads aren't, is 400 miles also. Hope I don't have to jump on 64 but may have to in order to pitch before dark. I'm farther north but you're farther east I think.

If I were willing to do slab Google tells me it's only 300 mile and 5.5 hrs. But where's the fun in that. >:D

Chances are I actually will do a little slab just to get into position where I can ride the good roads and still have time to make it for a hot dog.

Well my buddy bailed due to the forecast (wuss!) so my site is available to share. I.m assuming that this is still going on, I don't think Sunday is going to be that bad. What say Ye? Bike is packed waiting for daylight!

Bike packed. Leaving directly from work tomorrow afternoon.

If weather becomes a ridiculous PIA, there is always a picnic shelter, firewood, bench racing and libation!

Cold as the north side of a witch's mammary come Mon morning.

Most everything is packed. Heading out early in the morning. Will slab it down to Harrisonburg, VA then take Rt 33 into the mountains. Good stuff.

I never did cancel the lodge, so leaving the tent at home.
