So just us four? John, sure you don't want to camp? :D
As appealing as the forecast sounds... I'll pass. The Army ruined camping for me. Done it about 5 times in the last 26 years, all of that on the bike in the last 3 years. I am slowly learning not to groan when thinking about camping. It's progress.

Looks like the lodge is just a little more than a mile from camping area. I'll be hanging out down at the camp, just sleeping in my own hard sided tent.

Ok H & M riders, how about checking in here to say you made it home?

JC and me bugged out this morning too. One more good mountain road that comes out at the north foot of Herndon then just we topped Herndon headed south the skies opened up with a vengence. We headed due east with a passion and split near Princeton. I had rain and slop and 46* all the way in, but arrived home no worse for wear.

Kept wonderin' why I couldn't see too well ???...

Good ride, good times and a great 'all J' crew. We gotta make this a habit. ::26::

Made it home after a 9 hour ride.

NittanyXT and I rode together until just south of Elkins. We dodged deer, and a couple of attack dogs, and most rain for the day. Just a few light sprinkles from time to time. I was glad to have the electric gear as we saw temps down to 38 degrees.

spklbuk, thanks for putting together the weekend. I really enjoyed the ride and having a chance to sit around a tip a few. Even if it was a long walk for a beer.

Starting to go through the pictures.

Super slab all the way home. Rain and mid forties. But could not have had a larger smile on my face. Thanks for helping me break her in. The missus said that it looks like an adventure bike now! Unfortunately, I told her she missed it when it was really dirty.

Look forward to searching out more WV dirt roads (in the daylight) in the future!

I'm sure that will be the first of many water crossings for you...and they will get more significant as time goes by. Great job out there on your first off pavement experience. Watch out, it can become addicting.

Really nice pics. I was about to ask you how you got your bike so much dirtier than mine, but then I took another look at mine. I no longer need to ask.

I'm back! just shy of 1100 miles for the weekend. Jim, we'll have to do it again for sure! JohnnyCinco, great job busting your dirt cherry, put some K-60s on and there'll be no stopping you!
John, that was a great ride up to Elkins. Temp was 33 when I left for home this morning, glad I had the liners for my gear!
Just watched the video, who's the dummy that forgot to turn off his signal? :D

Brrr....love that electric gear. So which way did you turn after your fuel stop? Right to 250, or left to Elkins?
