Coming from a Triumph 1050 Tiger I am on a quest to buy a Tenere.
As some of you may have read I totaled my 1050 and now am looking for a Tenere, I found one in Alamosa, CO 2400 miles extended Yamaha 5 year warranty for $10,500.00 W/bags and some goodies but after three weeks of corresponding with the seller he reveilles he needs to pay it off to get the Title!!
The search continued until two days ago another Colorado Tenere W/1900 miles 5 Year Yamaha Warranty and Woody's Wheels 18'x21" and some other stuff no bags $12,000.
Put down $100.00 deposit on it should seal the deal next weekend.
Now my question is the Wheels, I found out they are Tubed but can be convert the rear into Tubeless.
You Woody's Wheel riders how do these feel on the road and what dual sport style tire can I get, I have used Michelin Anakee 2's on my old 98 Tiger 17'x19".
I need some millage as I ride to all parts of the west to get too locations so 80% will be highway and I carry a load of gear for camping, big luggers won't do but will be doing some scrambling in the back country.
I don't expect street performance by no means my Canyon carving days are closing just one up Solo stuff.
The Hight of the bike I feel will be as my 1050 32.9 inch from the ground but don't know what the height will be on this Tenere.
All help Welcome..
Thanks Pete
