Touring mode VS sport mode

It's more than power limiting. It slows the throttle response as well. Gives it a "slide carb" feel rather than the INSTA-POWER that FI usually feels like. You could conceivable have a variable mode.

Depends where you were at I guess. We got off the train and turned right to Honfleur, long sinuous undulating roads. Good surface, no traffic, flat out end to end riding. The twisties that I refer to are around the local area of our base ... it's all 2m wide country lanes thick with vegetation and a sprinkling of gravel. Makes for hilarious back end shenanigans with the TC off. There is a definite relaxation in the pick up of the motor when in touring mode ... on our return we were short for time and decided to run the peage A29/A28 at v high speed ... v v high speed. Still got my 10% better return on consumption. coulda just been a mistake in my calcs but I dont think so.

This is why every man needs at least 2 motorcycles. ;)

I find that the "T" mode is great for heavy, slow "bumper-to-bumper" traffic. Unless it's raining, I use "S" mode for everything else.

Since I cannot afford to have 2 motorcycles, the 2 modes are like having 2 bikes!!!

Exactly, in town riding and congested road riding is really nice in T mode, smooths it all out nicely. Quite frankly out on the slab with pretty consistent throttle there is not much need to S mode it. S mode is great for quick acceleration in passing and in fast riding on the twisties but I am pretty much done with slamming it from light to light in town so S mode is an aggressive road ride option for me
