@PhilPhilippines I think I'd want a skid plate on that Verdel!

@pilleway The array is not mine..... And as @tallpaul pointed out, it IS in the UK somewhere. I couldn't afford the imagining cameras on that setup, never mind the scopes or heck, even the mounting pier!

I came across a site where that picture was as I was trying to help an old friend in Norway find some information on telescope mounts. I just thought it looked so over the top for the average amateur astronomer. I've always been interested in the hobby, but sitting outside at -40c when the seeing is at it's best in Canada and spending all kinds of money, only wanting to spend more, is not for me.

So that leaves me with two questions.

Just how tall is @tallpaul and how the heck did he know that telescope array was in the UK?

I'm rather tall (6'7" on a good day) and the extension cable in the background has the UK socket pattern. Sherlock Holmes would be proud...
