Time for a new windscreen for my '13 S10. I currently have the OEM GEN1 standard height windscreen with a Madstad bracket.
I always wear a SHOEI X2 (with the peak visor) when riding my S10 and I am 6'2". Naturally I am looking for a smoother airflow at highway speeds.
Mostly slab riding but hope to get off the pavement (nothing hardcore, some moto-camping) more often once some normalcy returns in the NY area.
Fortunately I have a decent amount of Zilla Cash over at Revzilla to use from my tire purchases last year.
My two choices are:
Puig Touring Windscreen:
V Stream Sport Touring:
I am leaning a bit more towards the Puig as it has received very decent reviews performance wise and it looks more in line
with the overall design of a S10 but from what I have read it is not made as well (Acrylic) as the V Stream (polycarbonate)
and supposedly the Puig's lower corners hit the OEM Yammy hand guards on full end to end turns of the handle bars.
The V Stream gets really good reviews but I honestly must admit it looks odd. I know function must always trump fashion.
Are there any of you folks out there currently running either one of these windscreens on their scoot?
Advice, thoughts, opinions?
Regards,
MFP
