Time For A New Windscreen

Time for a new windscreen for my '13 S10. I currently have the OEM GEN1 standard height windscreen with a Madstad bracket.
I always wear a SHOEI X2 (with the peak visor) when riding my S10 and I am 6'2". Naturally I am looking for a smoother airflow at highway speeds.
Mostly slab riding but hope to get off the pavement (nothing hardcore, some moto-camping) more often once some normalcy returns in the NY area.
Fortunately I have a decent amount of Zilla Cash over at Revzilla to use from my tire purchases last year.
My two choices are:
Puig Touring Windscreen:

V Stream Sport Touring:

I am leaning a bit more towards the Puig as it has received very decent reviews performance wise and it looks more in line
with the overall design of a S10 but from what I have read it is not made as well (Acrylic) as the V Stream (polycarbonate)
and supposedly the Puig's lower corners hit the OEM Yammy hand guards on full end to end turns of the handle bars.
The V Stream gets really good reviews but I honestly must admit it looks odd. I know function must always trump fashion.
Are there any of you folks out there currently running either one of these windscreens on their scoot?
Advice, thoughts, opinions?
Regards,
MFP

Sorry, no help on the two screens you are looking at. I was using a CalSci Medium and for what you describe, you'd need to go with the Large in that screen. I'm 5'11" with a 32" inseam, so a little tall torso. The Med gave decent protection and no buffeting w/o a MadStad on my '12. But it wasn't a quiet pocket of air. CalSci suggested a Large for me, but they said that would be no air to the helmet vents to speak of and I like a little wind w/o buffeting, so went with the Med.

My suggestion is to cut up some strong cardboard and form a few different shapes taped to your OEM screen to try out. They are such a subjective modification and can get very costly when you purchase the wrong one.

I had the Puig Touring windshield on my 2013 with a Madstad bracket. The windshield never hit the hand guards on my bike on turns and as far as durability, I never had an issue with it. I really liked it but I'm content with the OEM on my 18 otherwise I would replace it with another Puig. I sold mine to Tenman so he could also give some insight as well. The one I had was smoke which I did like but at night, at times, it was harder to see looking thru it. I am also 5"11 w/32" inseam.

On my previous 2013 I used the tall VStream and liked it but always wished it was 1/2 inch shorter.

So for the 2018 I bought the medium size VStream, it works very well but I wish it was available in clear. I’m 5’10” and suspect the medium size VStream might be to short for you.

Does it matter if it's Gen 1 or 2? Didn't I read on here that there's a bar difference? If it doesn't matter, that would do it for me. That's one of the thing I love about my big voluptuous girl. . . . the ability to do bar lock turns quite easily.

I'm also looking to improve airflow on a Gen 2. My Gen 1 had a Madstad bracket and stock windscreen. Wondering if the bracket alone will resolve my airflow issues.

VStream Sport Touring. Had one on my '12, great, almost too good coverage in the low position. Flipped the '12 and went with the same version for the new '18. Well made, tough and still a winner for me.

YMMV

I'm 6'4.5" tall and I run the Ebay clip on spoiler that came froma Russian dude - but he no longer is selling :(

This provided very good airflow over my helmet to reduce buffeting. I can ride with my visor up in the city and cracked open at high speed if I need more ventilation. Single best mod for my comfort.

I also bought the winglets... this really helps lower the airflow turnbulance behind the windscreen around your chest and also helping lowere the helmet buffeting.
I have a Gen 2, but I would say that they would also offer the same protection on the Gen 1.

here is another link to a MRA stlye clip on screen... https://www.ebay.com/itm/Clamp-On-Variable-Windscreen-Spoiler-Blade-Windshield-Extension-For-Honda-BMW/232844324822

These clip-on's screens really work - as they act as a secondary wing to help suck airflow up over your head.
These wing style clip-on's are way better than those BMW style Wunderlic clip on screen extenders.

Madstad says the shield is different between the years

"we need to know which hole pattern to cut for your particular year (there are two generations and their hole patterns are different) "

I run the OEM extra high windscreen (2BS-F83J0-00-00 - Transparent) in combination with OEM deflectors (2BS-F83M0-00-00 - Transparent). They work perfectley for me in combination with my Shoei Neotec 2. It's nice and quiet. I'm 1,85m tall and no problems any more.

Just a sugestion. Good luck, greetings Stefan.

Waiting for the Givi Air-flow here ...I can tell you a post-ride when I’ll try hit. I’m 6’2 also.
I am always a fan of GIVI products however for some reason Revzilla does not offer GIVI's S10 specific windscreen.

The thing that really made a difference for me was a knockoff MRA Xscreen I bought off eBay for $40 or so. Between that and the winglets I have no buffering issues with an OEM shield.
Thanks, I forgot to mention in my original post that I am running a pair of OEM Yammy winglets that definitely helped a bit with an improved airflow.

On my 2012, I had a Parabellum for awhile, but found that it channeled air to my hands and up my wrists.
I then tried a V-Stream tall, but I had to look through it. I settled on the V-Stream sport-tour with the MRA spoiler.
I like that I can adjust for differing conditions; up for freeway, down for twisties.

Looks real good and by your description it is quite functional.
Quick question, by running the Rox Risers on your GEN1 did you have to replace the brake & clutch hoses/lines with longer ones?
It also appears you are running aftermarket handlebars?
