I agree with the Lag idea. Will try changing the TC to see if the Lag reduces / disappears.

As for the other issue. Some people have difficulty "discussing". Discussion: Listening is the first step. Understanding is the second step. Offering warranted information is the final step.

Try it with TC off. That's my favorite setting in dirt.
They aren't here to listen, they have their own agenda.

Rode around the neighborhood last night with the TC off and the Lag was gone. Resolves that tuning issue.

Don't have this problem at 3500 ft above sea level. Wondering if it'll show up at lower elevations where it would run leaner.

Damn! bloodline really ripped someone a new one! I didn't know things were that serious on here. I don't mind hearing about the ECU re-program cause I scroll right past it. I dont have to read everything. A few posters have it right though.....turn off that Damn TC!! I figured that out the first day. A little button hidden (I think so you cant friggin find it) on the left side of the cluster. Beware though, it's an aggressive ride on the gravel/sand and rooster tails happen easy.

Yeah, there's a few that can get on your last nerve and jump on it, but it's usually non intentional. I know I've done it a few times.
On the highway I usually leave it at TC 1. I've had a few stumbles that I've blamed on the TC, but really have no way of really knowing. I leave it in Sport mode all the time. There's too much lag for me in touring mode.
I've been thinking over some power mods etc. But if something pops up with the motor and you changed the ECU, headers, etc I think Mamma Yamma might have large leeway in saying that your mods could be part of the problem and deny coverage. I've got 5 years of warranty and don't want to give them good reason. Of course the conventional wisdom is " It's a Yamaha, It's bulletproof" and they have been in my experience so far.

I rode to work yesterday with the TC off and the stumble was gone. Usually I just used the TC-Off while offroad but may be inclined to go with it off most times now.

Thanks to the OP for pointing this out. The lag annoyed the heck out of me. Its seems to be completely gone in TC2. The question is why would TC1 cause this?

Thanks Scottie. My guess is that the "lag" is caused by the slight delay in the activation of the TC in mode 1. It doesn't have a lag if the bike is rolling, even slightly. According to the tech orientation, the TC controls the throttle valve, the ignition and the fuel injection. The position of the throttle has no control over the traction control, believe it or not. It all relates to the speed of the front wheel vs the rear wheel.
