So, in Texas, we have 254 counties. Only 17 of them have emissions testing. If your gas cap leaks down too much, you fail and can't renew your registration. Yet ass hats like this can run around town rolling coal because they're exempt from emissions testing. And why . . . . 'cuz diesels can't pass ANY emissions testing. Just ask VW.

The best part? They recently passed a bill/law repealing the safety inspections. o_O So every smoking hoopdy with bad brakes can drive on the same road(s) as your family.

Agree, funny how humans are. Some will shit in their swimming pool and enjoy swimming in it. The same type have no problem rolling coal in to our breathing air, they live life with blinders, we have them up here in Canada, douchebags.
I've been driving diesel's since 1995 but this is not what I would like to be associated with, my truck doesn't smoke, I require to pull with it regularly.

My 12 valve smokes. Especially pulling a trailer with 6 horses up a 10% grade. Last of the truly mechanical diesel engines.

Well, under load makes sense. Even gasoline engine will let out a puff when you push the pedal to the floor. But the douche baggers' trucks will never be used as a truck. Ass end squatted down wearing low profile tires on huge rims.

I've heard that the Duramax can't roll coal. And I've never seen one do it, but don't know why it would be so. Is it true? Fords and Dodges obviously don't seem to have any issues.

My personal truck only puts out a small amount of smoke under a heavy load up a hill and I have to have my foot in it.
Empty, no smoke, its an F350.
New trucks, including rig's are suppose to be smoke free or nearly smoke free. Most heavy smoke bellowing are older trucks or trucks that have been tampered with.
Todays electronics makes them pretty clean, smoke wise. Except guy's feel the need to install powerup tune kits that changes the fueling turning the truck into a coal roller.
Dogde owners seem to be the worst as Cummins is the cheapest and easiest to mess with.

Around here, it pretty even; Ford v. Ram. And from what I understand, the smoke is unburned fuel. Literally money going up in smoke. I guess that goes along with having the money to ruin a truck with suspension and tire & wheel mods in the first place.

My last truck, and now my kid's, has been worked like a rented mule. My self installed bed liner was worn off. Can't find a truck like it anymore. New in '04, 4dr and manual everything; $19,500

Just like the modern diesel engine you can buy new today. Emissions has really taken its toll on fuel economy and longevity.

I can't blame the owner for derestricting the engine.

Coal rolling kids, are a drop in the bucket as far as pollution goes. Asshats... yeah. I was young once upon a time. Hopefully they learn.
If you want to make a difference in pollution- let's rethink our forestry management and stop all the damn fires each year.

Back in school, maybe in a history class, we were told that one of the reasons for the really huge forest fires is that we have become too good at puting them out. They said before humans, lightning would start a forest fire. The fire went through the forest(s) and burn up all the brush and clean out the forest without damaging mature trees. Now, when a fire starts, we can get it put out before all the brush is cleaned up. This allows the brush (fuel) to increase. Then when the fire starts, it's bigger and hotter because of the additional fuel. Which in turn damages the mature trees, and makes harder to put out. Don't know if this is true, but it made sense to me.
Climate change is a myth.......
Climate change isn't a myth, but the reasons they're blaming for it is.;)

So, saw that Harley is recalling 68,000+ bikes. The takeaway for me was: Harley sold over 68,000 bikes in only 5 years?! And that was just soft tails?! Anyway, here's the complete list:
The following Softail motorcycle model numbers and years are part of the recall:
  • 2018-2019 FLDE
  • 2018-2021 FLHC
  • 2018-2023 FLHCS
  • 2018-2023 FLHCS ANV
  • 2020-2023 FXLRS
  • 2022-2023 FXLRST
  • 2022 FXRST
