You know, you hear the factory riders talking about the Yamaha "family" and how they treasure that connection over money and other rewards. I think we all got a taste of that with this exchange. Not a whole lot of companies in this world that care about their product and the owner/users as much as Yamaha. I have never been a brand loyalist, just kinda moved from brand to brand based on the offering and my current needs/desires. This exchange however has taken pride of ownership and sense of belonging to a new level. So now when people ask me how I like my Tenere they are also going to get a respnse that includes the quality and heart of this fine company.

You know, motorcycle people have big hearts, happy to be part of it

well stated Toompine.

As many have said I am just so very proud to be a part of all of this.

I am stoked they took the time to reply and their response was out of this world top drawer.

Every time I wick this scoot to life I'm gonna think about their poster and the love they've shared with us...
simple riders and lovers of the art of MoBikeBuilding.

A very cool day to be a part of this forum and this company.

Yamaha has been a favorite of mine though I have only owned two. A 1972 DT2 250 purchased new in Okinawa July 1971 and forty years later the Super Tenere purchased July 2011. I had a ton of fun on the DT2 while in Okinawa and now with the Super Tenere. My KLR has been fun but traveling with the Super Tenere seems to be better and I am looking forward to proving that.

Thank you Yamaha.

Indeed it was ... no argument from me ... but keep in mind that the initial first gesture by the Forum was sort of a world class gesture, you ask me. The Yamaguys are probably as blown away as we are. I doubt they have ever received anything like that before. R
