I'm impressed - I thought maybe we'd get a snapshot of the guys with the poster - but I guess they wanted to match us poster for poster. Just great.

This, along with the note of thanks from the Japanese charity, made it all worthwhile. To everyone who was part of this, congrats, and thanks again to newventure who came up with the idea in the first place.

You know, this is about a couple of really nice gestures between two countries and/or two groups of people. The Forum (in particular those who did the actual "legwork") extended the handlebar of friendship and Yamaha responded in kind. Something very special, especially as the world sometimes seems to be crumbling down around us. I just took a moment and savored it. Today is a good day. R
Rem, no truer words have been spoken. Thank you for putting it so eloquently.

Just an FYI - at least one member has stated they contacted Yamaha and they are sending him the high resolution version of the poster. I'm going to post it on the forum when it's available so all can download it.

Rem, you put it so well - and to all of you that helped put this together... what a wonderful thing you did and recieved back. I am humbled by both gestures.

Bob Starr is a class act. We've had a lot of dealings with him over the years with STAR Touring & Riding.

Allow me to beat Rod to the punch and acknowledge that it is a blue bike in the poster.

Acknowledged.

Well, boys ... I was feeling so magnanimous yesterday, that I decided to put our petty rivalries aside, as part of savoring the moment don't you know, and I actually embraced the concept of blue bike. You might even say I was impacted by the Impact Blue. Yes I was. Clutched it to my bosom and held it close to my heart. I mean, come on, how silly is all this?

But that was just for the moment. I'm over it now.

Have at 'er, boys. R

I was touched as well and went out to my stable and hugged my Blue SuperT. It is very near to my heart, as you might expect. Too bad you cannot hug your Black SuperT until sometime next summer after shipping it off someplace far away. But then I suppose the relationship must not be the same with the black ones.
