Had Nick install my Penske shock last Friday. Everything folks have said is true about the improved ride and handling of the bike. Nick is big on customer satisfaction as I did not pull out of his drive until we were both happy with the bikes set up. Nick is running a special on Penske shocks until the end of the month. I don't know what guys paid during the group buy and I can't say what I paid as those details should be left to Nick. I will say I was pleased with the price and personal attention to detail I received from Nick. If you live within a few hours of him I strongly suggest you have him do the install and set up your bike. You won't be disappointed. I will be doing the front end as soon as funds permit. ::012:: Contact Nick at Stoltec Moto for details 610-888-1280

We really need an "eyetoldyaso" smiley guy :)

Awesome to hear. Which shock did you go with? Still running totally stock front end?

I'm heading to Nick's tomorrow for some more suspension magic. I'm loaded up pretty good to head to the MotoGP in Texas so we are going to work out my preload and damping for this fat pig now.

I went with the 8983. Just dampening and rebound adjustments w/ 750lb spring. I'm still running stock up front. We got the front end pretty close for my needs and Nick suggested I use up the stock hardware and do a total rebuild when the forks need to be serviced. That way I'm getting my monies worth. Probaly will do the forks after this riding season. I can't believe the improved stability of the bike. Very pleased.

I visited Nick on Sunday. We did the whole shebang-forks and shock. Although we got the set up very close at his shop, it took a couple of days to really dial the suspension in. But when it's correct, it's like you are one with the road. Combine that with Nick's expertise and customer first philosophy and its well worth the time and money. I'm not going to go into all the specifics of my set up because we all have different anatomy and riding styles. I will agree that Nick is very professional and truly wants his customers to be happy and satisfied with the final product. Lets face it, this isn't cheap. I can only speak for myself. This was worth every penny and I would hesitate to recommend Nick and his set up to anyone.
