What would the collective 'experience' of the S10 veterans on this forum, add or remove or replace with alternative brand?

Nothing.
While there are more ways than one to skin a cat, that Tenere is legit and ready for battle.
Not sure if it's been flashed or not, but that would be all I'd need to address before heading out to conquer the ADV world on it.

Sweet Tenere indeed.

Teneres are like Jeeps. With such huge aftermarket support, it's rare that you will find two that are exactly the same. There are not right/wrong choices of add-ons; just personal choices.

Cosmetics aside, although they ARE part of the romance, an OEM Tenere is crash bars, luggage, and some ergonomic personalization away from being a 100% legit RTW for years bike.

Trevor pretty much etched that in stone.

Seriously. The power is there, it's the factory throttle that needs to be smoothed out a bit with tuning. Exhaust/Headers/etc are just icing on the cake.

Still in love relax!! ::003::

It all depends on what you're used to. I haven't ridden anything under 600lbs over the last 25 years. The exception is my KLR, which I actually wished was bigger and stronger; enter the Tenere. And the Tenere's geometry makes it feel smaller/lighter than everything else; to me. Of course I haven't dropped it....yet. I'm sure I will be calling her a heavy pig then.

Is the Fenda Extender must have, good to have or 'i need to have it, because it looks cool' ?

O:)
It's almost pointless if you take the bike off road. Same with the rear hugger. It's meant to keep the bike cleaner and stop things from getting kicked into the motor/exhaust. All of them get jammed with mud/dirt and break quickly when taking on anything more complicated than a gravel fire road.

If you have a skid plate the front fenda extenda will snag on the skid plate at less than full compression of the front shocks.

LOL, you can always tell a poser bike when you see an un-broken fenda extenda with an ACD skid plate.
That's hilarious. And true.
And you should know.
True story: Scott took one look at my brand new gussied up custom painted fender and predicted it would hit my engine protection (header protection portion) before its maiden voyage into the West Virginia back woods. By the end of the first day, it was sporting that exact wound. And it still does. :)

Glad to hear that is evidence it's not a poser. phew!

It does until you see one parked next to a GSA. Like they say, if you want to look skinny, hang out with people who are fatter than you are!

Like the front fender, which is pretty impossible to do without, that rear hugger is a little bit of mud away from locking up the rear wheel, and / or getting destroyed. It's a good looking bike, though.

I'm ok with the Big Pig name calling, after all, it IS TBDBITW. And I'm not going to hand over that label to even the mighty GSA.
Not after all the guff we Tenere users had to take early on when our listed weight was a few pounds more than the BMW.
Many were defensive about it until we turned the tables by proudly proclaiming that YES, we are indeed the Biggest!

My grandson concurs completely. And he toasts the fact! His pawpaws bike is the biggest.

Used the famous handlebar spreadsheet and the "closed eyes" hand placement routine and found that the Tenere Specific 15degree Flex bars were almost a dead ringer. Combined with the biggest footpegs in-the-world and the Roxy Risers, my 6'1" standing stance is awesome.

Or put another way, the bike is setup perfect for Big Bend gravel while standing and roosting my brother behind me. :) We've done it for hours at a time.

Caution though. Ergonomics are the most unlikely copied solution there is. Think about it. If I got out of my pickup truck and handed you the keys and said now go 500 miles without touching ANY of the adjustments for Steering wheel, brake pedal, and 10 way adjustable seat. It's impossible to believe that you would set every one of those ergonomic settings in exactly the same place. In fact, if I could take 2 degrees of sweep out of the bars today, I think I would.
It would be a very minor adjustment, of course. But I don't know if it is my jacket or my weight gain\loss, but my "natural" hand placement would be a little different today than 5 years ago.

But, I LOVE Flex bars. They actually do what they claim to do and they are built really well.
