I have those on my Super T and they work great... Do you not have a Super T anymore?
I too only paid... $75 at my dealer.

I guess my dealer made a nice profit on the wing sale. Hope he enjoyed lunch on my dime.

So, any change in the price you want for your wind deflectors?

How about a "package deal" for these and the CalSci tinted "Shorty" 'screen I inquired about in your other thread?

PM me if that's more convenient for you.

Thanks!

Looks like were getting ripped off in Canada.

SKU: 23P-F83M0-00-10
Price: 129.95

... and I have them ordered but at least I'm supporting my local dealer. I'll have to tell him I could have bought them for $75.

If your not interested in buying the winglets, why would you post about a lower price? Would you want someone to do that on a thread where YOU are trying to sell something. I think not.
That is very poor forum etiquette for such a new pilgrim.

Now why don't you be a NICE young member, and delete your post..

No offence Japako but if I were the seller I would actually appreciate if someone told me that my price were higher than buying a brand new product. To me that's definitely not bad netiquette, but then I'm also only a poor "new pilgrim" on this forum... :(

This seems resonable to me, although sometimes a (friendly) PM to the person listing the item may be the best way to convey the info.

Have to agree with Japako. Nothing wrong with a prospective buyer pointing out the new price and making an offer based on that. But non-buyers should limit their price advice to PMs.

Best setup for a sub forum like this was on VFRD - no comments were allowed so all communications in this area were conducted by PM. Keeps this kind of conversation from happening. Worked well.

Rod, It's only reasonable if it is done in a PM. Posting that info on a persons sales thread is not, and never will be reasonable. At least not to me. I think it is plain BS.

Your right, you are new. If you want to tell a seller about a lower price on the items he/she is selling, do it in a PM.
What is so hard to understand about that? It is just showing respect for the OP.

Same thing on the F650GS forum. Saves the mods a lot of headache as well. Hint, hint... ;)

Geez...

We have one instance of this happening about once a year and the first thing folks wanna' do is literally outlaw posting in the sales threads. Bit like folks wanting to outlaw guns because of one shooting. So far the original poster hasn't complained... Not one peep of displeasure from him... So what, pray tell, is the problem?

In fact, if you look carefully, long before poor adogarza made his post (two days out of a two day thread) the very first person to reply to this thread pointed out a lower retail price to the OP, and that OP handled it without rancor or complaint. Instead he just laughed it off and moved on without clamoring for any useless net-nannying.

It's his thread, and his stuff for sale... And if he doesn't have any problem with what others have posted in it why should anyone else? :-\

I do get that, but what about letting other forum members know the facts - we need to respect the op but also respect the fact that a prospective purchaser doesn't want to get hosed and comes to the forum for information from like minded people, doesn't he/she?

I think all anyone was doing here was passing information in a discussion. Let's not blow things out of proportion.

If anything done was against the forum rules then that's a different matter.

I have no problem, just pointing out what worked really well on another forum with a very active Trading Post. Keeps potential buyers from having to sift thought pages of off-topic sundry ( like this very conversation BTW) when looking to buy something.

You could at a quick glance see the offering and price in the subject line, see if the offering had been sold in the subject line, or simply PM the seller with an offer. All negotiations were carried out in private.

It worked well - no drama, no BS. That's all...
