Привет всем! Давно здесь не был. Поменял выключатель переднего тормоза сегодня за 40 минут. Заказал на эту неделю. Поменял без проблем.

Отлично, сам делал? Неужели нужно было ждать эту роль?

Looks like mine is on the list. Phoning the dealer later today.
Had mine done during its first service in Chichester, didn't take long, took out a 700 Tenere to fill the time, was about 1.5 hrs. I snipped the brake cable insulation, put a mark on the oil filter and drain plugs etc and yes it was all done/replaced no problem.

Quick question: If you don't trust this dealer to perform the service, why didn't you take it someplace that you do trust?

Not wanting to put words in his mouth, but, maybe it was first time with this dealer. . . . maybe he didn't have a choice of dealer. . . . maybe the dealer does go work, if they do it. And, this is still on topic, since some of voiced their concern of where to the recall done because of their mistrust of their dealer(s). I'm fortunate to have a dealer I trust implicitly.

Yes to confirm this was the first time I have used the dealer. I am in the motor trade so I know all to well the good and bad practices by companies and individuals in the industry. As usual I had a chat with the guy that was going to do the work to meet him and dropped in a week later to personally thank him for being conscientious. I appreciate that myself when people thank me verbally, give me a gift, drink and even baked me a cake and offered me free holiday accommodation and a sail. My motivation is very much to work for that person not just doing the work.

It's easy to rip people off in my line of work, very hard to tell you have done anything at all and the work is not cheap (rust prevention, undersealing cars). Sadly I would say 70% in my industry rip people off, it's easy quick money. I however only do one vehicle a week, take my time and do it properly. I don,t advertise, I don,t need to, I survive through recommendations. I couldn't live the way the others do being chased by clients complaints... what a mentality and way to live your life. They make four times as much money but it bites them in the ass eventually.

Had the recall done today. Cruise control still doesnt work though. It switches on, but doesnt activate.
Will have to take it back at some point for a more indepth look. Probably a strip and clean of the switch mechanism, although the brake lights work and all the fuses are intact.

I am surprised they would give your bike back like that, did they say anything about it ?

They said it wasnt releated to any of the parts swapped during the recall. They also checked wiring and fuses while they were there, there were all correct. As the recall was performed correctly, its "outside their remit" to find the issue, but they strongly suspect its another part of the switch assembly and a strip/clean will probably cure it and they would prefer to try that route first rather than spending for new parts.

So I had the recall done and as I rode away I noticed my turn signals stopped working. Did a u-turn to return to dealer and then they started working. Ended up going home thinking the issue resolved itself. About a month goes by and the turn signals mostly work but again have stopped working. Called the shop and they'll look into it but also mentioned charging a $118 fee if it's not related to the recall work. Is it possible the recall part has nothing to do with the turn signals? Of course those are on the opposite side but the hazard switch is on the worked on side.. Also, I can buy the whole switch assmblely/turn signal switch new for around $150 which I'd rather do than pay their fee. I have 115k miles on it and all other switches work.

Just got mine done at the dealer today it took 2 months to get the part in . A lot of things are backordered nowadays. I never had a problem with mine but I got it done so hopefully no problems down the road.

My tire(s) have finally arrived. (front tire has been on back order for over a month) Switch has been in for quite awhile. I got a text from the dealer telling me to call and set up the service. Next week it is.

I wonder if they failed to fully seat a connector at the other end? Perhaps the TS connector is close to the brake switch connector and they knocked it loose or damaged it some how.

So, the turn signals are back to working without doing anything. Not sure if maybe the hazard switch was stuck (that’s adjacent to where the warranty work was done) or maybe switch area got wet and had to dry. Might mention this to the dealership and see if they’ll re-check their work for free.

Going to bump this thread as I sometimes have cruise control not want to set on my 2015 ES that has not has this recall done.

Is it JUST the switch on the bottom of the master cylinder, or is it a wiring harness as well?
