Overall the process went smoothly. Busted the MC open, sucked out the fluid, cracked the lines open, put new lines in, added dot4, pumped while tapping the lines. All good there.
Installed the risers and this is where the fun began. I got 3 inches up and 1 back since I had a block riser 1 up and 1 back and added 2 inch pivoting. I mingled with the throttle cable stay bracket that is by ignition lock and was able to put it into position where it has slack with the bars all the way to the riders right. I ended up removing a zip tie off the handle bar that secured starter switch wires and moving it to a lower location. So for those who want to run a straight 3.5 into stock, you should be okay in terms of wiring and throttle cables as long as you don't pivot towards yourself too much.

Good idea. I was never been comfortable with the stock handle bars. Even after installing the 1' up and 1" back Rox riders and ProTaper Contour Raptor bars I am not comfortable. Still has me leaning on the handlebars. I was going to remove the 1 and 1 and install the 2" but this combination setup sounds much better.

- What extended brake lines did you use? Did you have any problems removing the stock brake lines?
- How tight is your throttle cables? The Raptors are taller than the stock bars.

I got extra long lines from Jaxon, 2 inches longer then long lines, which are 2 inches longer then stock, so basically it's stock length + 4. Throttle cables are okay with the stock bar, I just had to play with the bracket that holds them. Removal and install was easy peasy, that 10mm flare nut wrench works well. I'd say the key to making it easy without disassembling half the bike is to remove the lines off the bracket, pull them away from the frame gently, slip the flare nut wrench on the hard line side, slip regular wrench on the other nut and counter turn each one with equal force. If you need longer throttle cables, Jaxon has them too.

One thing I know is we don't have to say everything we think. Saying that, lately I have seen too many thread killing posts. Surprisingly posts by very credible Tenere owners. I just don't understand.

This brings up a good question. Here is the stock Tenere with your average size rider. You can clearly see he is hunched over, way over and no way this would ever be correct.

Now for the question. Could Rox risers be set on top of each other kind of like Legos were done when I was a kid? I could buy 6 sets of 2" risers and result would be this. Much better.

Better yet, 9 sets of risers for a 18" rise. Now still not perfect, but getting close. Probably a limit to how high they can stack.

Whatever choice made, there are new cables that fit all these bars. They are coiled cables like a phone cord that can be stetched about 21" for a clean install.

Why not just get the extra long lines from Eric and get a set of 4 inch rox risers that should accomplish the same need but in a much cleaner look.
