So you ARE coming to CO in June right?

We need as many XT1200ZR's as possible to show up at the rally.
I wasn't. It got cancelled for about 2 days. I didn't make it "official" because I had no reason to hurry.
Basically, when she couldn't go, I had to act like it was no big deal, to calm her down. But if I was still going, it would have looked a bit disingenuous, know what I mean? :)

Then yesterday happened and the alternate trip fell in my lap. She got 2 weeks off approved, just a bit later date.
But that gave me cover to do both!

I'm waiting to wake up and find I'm dreaming.

1 week dirty and solo. 1 week timeout. 2 weeks 2-up.

I just gotta make sure I stay rubber-down while riding with you loonies. No broken bike. No broken bones.

That's the plan man! Nothing too crazy -- I've gotta ride my bike back to Dallas in one piece you know what I'm saying?

Wow, what an amazing display of selflessness and devotion to company ;) Have fun and safe travels to you and the Misses.
Yea, it can be tough. But somebody has to do it.

All kidding aside, it's not the all-glamour and all-freedom it seems. Been there 12 years. We have never been closed for a single hour of a single day. I'm literally on call 24/7. Never off the grid.

It used to suck until the world became mobile and bandwidth can be had with a smart phone or tablet.
Still can get an issue pop up in Puerto Rico at 2:AM. But at least now I can be in Australia cruising the Great Ocean Highway on a Tenere. Just pull over and fix the mail server from an Ipad.

Mobility has changed everything!

Hey Snake - almost met you in Big Bend, saw your bike there and in Del Rio...Look forward to meeting at Ouray! We got to see the first day of the Calgary Stampede last year on the way back from Inuvik; you're in for a treat.

Take care

So are you riding up or flying up?
Either way, there's allways a spare bike in Cam's garage ::015::
If his are tied up, you can take my vfr for a ride. I can even lend you my slightly non-stinky riding gear.

I was going to tell you, book your hotels early, they fill up quick.
worse case, bring the tent, and you can use Cam's front lawn ::002::

You'll have a great time at the Calgary Stampede. It's called "The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth" for good reasons.

Having been in the medical field since 95 I can empathize with the call. Not to the extent that you have it, but I have to be there in the flesh. So "hats off " to you, sounds like this is well deserved!!
