It wasn't from an injury, but I once had a doctor give me an injection in my eye. I'll never forget what he said just before doing it. "Whatever you do, don't move." ???

Just recently my next door neighbor thought he might have a small piece of metal in his eye from grinding. I told him to go to the doctor now, because it's going to start to rust. He did, and it was a 'chunk' rusting in his eye ball. They had to grind it all out. Pretty crazy stuff.

Many times I've had welding sparks shoot across my eye ball and skipped across my contact. When that happens it melts and shrinks the plastic of the contact and ruins it. I've also had grinding material imbed itself into my contacts. I always wear safty glases but it bounces around. I guess my contacts have safes my eyes many times over the years.
