Just saw on Facebook a few days ago that Liz Jansen (trilliumliz) a member of this forum, is recovering from a broken shoulder sustained in an accident in southern Alberta. I don't know the circumstances, but Liz indicated she thinks her Super Tenere will be a write-off.
I am not sure how often she checks in here, but best wishes to Liz for a full and speedy recovery.

You guys are the best! Thanks so much for your well wishes and positive energy. I am indeed on a detour to my original plans to travel to South America. My shoulder is badly broken but well on the way to healing. I'm heading for my first post-op appointment this morning. Have been well looked after by good friends and am recuperating here in Calgary before heading back to Ontario later next week. Will also be visiting my bike which was taken to Blackfoot Motosports to confirm whether it's fixable. From what I've seen and heard so far, it's not likely. I've been told that the Altrider Crash bars I installed just before I left home in early August - saved my legs. From an unfortunate incident, I have certainly received a lot of good fortune!

Liz, glad to hear you are on the mend. Take it slow. Don't rush the recovery. Wishing you a full recovery.
