IMO, these are best bang for the buck. Not cheap but super functional. I have the Touratech racks and 35's mounted on my Tenere. It's close to 1200 bucks for the whole setup. I like the fact that you can get in and out of them almost as fast as the hard ones. And they also compress when not in use. You can also remove them quickly when not needed. I have locking straps which makes them as secure as any hard bag. When loaded up they are no wider than my bars.
This weekend I will be doing a test run with them all loaded down for camping. I'll post up some more detailed pics. In reality it will be very rare for me to camp off the bike. These will mainly be used for commuting and everyday use. I'm not much on loading the top down with cases and huge bags. I'm a off road rider at heart and like to move around on my bike. Also have the ability to bail off the back in an emergency.
