Mounted the Hugger. Looks pretty nice and good fit.

I used a 3/8" drill to slightly enlarge the existing hole (3rd one from front) in the brake link for the wellnut. I pulled both bolts and nuts from link so I could get to it to drill and install wellnut, left the brake line attached. Some blue loctite on the bolt at front which goes into the hugger hardware. Done.

Rem, I always can make room for another bike in the garage, credit card not so much! I did like that MTS12, sigh.

Mine finally arrived yesterday. Someone at Moto Shop Yamaha had put the wrong address on the package so DPD attempted to (and apparently left a card at) an address that doesn't exist. They did this twice before I managed to get Elisa to correct the error. I then arranged for re-delivery on a specific day and they ignored that and tried to deliver on a day when nobody was at home.

The two morals from this story are: -
- Don't order anything from Moto Shop Yamaha, it really isn't worth the hassle
- Don't use DPD to send anything anywhere if you really want it to get there.

The hugger looks OK apart from the mess where they removed the right hand fitment and then coloured it in with marker pen. Why did they need to colour it in? Surely the plastic is black all the way through? I guess you won't be able to see this when it's on the bike.

I have just fitted it and I have to say it looks good. Nobody's ever going to see the mess where they removed the right hand fixing point as it's right behind the exhaust can and the side box.

Instead of using the well nut and having to enlarge the hole in the brake torque arm I used a short length of fuel pipe threaded onto the screw which locates snugly in the hole in the torque arm. It makes it much easier to fix and remove too because you don't have to remove the torque arm to get to the screw that goes in the well nut. The screw and well nut are only to stop the hugger rotating from it's fixed position anyway so I think I have a much better solution.

Ordered the Yamaha 5c3-F1621-00-00 from the UK, mine did not come with a bracket? Had to make one. Some minor adjustment as well to the hugger, drilling and cutting. Also added a piece of hard plastic to keep the mud and road spray off my riding suit when it's raining. Very cheap fix.
