Any update on the bulbs you ordered?
The bulbs came in about two weeks. Quality of the bulb looks decent with COB LEDs in the tip, and two rings at the top and bottom of the 'capsule'. Direct fit for H7. Light is whiter, as expected, but I haven't had the time to do any testing at night with one LED and one Halogen for comparison, or both LEDs, etc.

I'll try to make some progress on this. Been a little overwhelmed with the various things associated with selling the house right now.

Just installed one of the Nighteyes. I'm leaving the other halogen to compare either tonight or tomorrow night. I was at my local Ace Hardware yesterday and took a look and there are loads of options for dust covers. I actually ordered a new pair of dust covers from partzilla for $14.00USD a pair so I could chop them up as well. If only the stock dust covers were only an inch more!!!

I took a careful look at things surrounding the dust cover and where it mounts. If one looks carefully, then you can see even with the dust covers on; there is plenty of places for water/dust intrusion. You have to really look at that whole plastic assembly area and one can see it is not sealed. My biggest concern is condensation and crud getting into the lens. This can hardly happen between the interference of the hold down clip for the bulb and the o-ring around the bulb itself. At the moment, I'm not concerned about not having dust covers. I have the dash infill making it more difficult for water to rain down from above.
One thing I did note was just running the bike for about 2 minutes the nighteyes did start to heat up. So if I even decide to seal the area with some kind of dust covers, I would like to leave some way for heat to escape.

One thing to note....when installing and plugging them in.....If they don't light up, then unplug rotate the plug 180 degrees and replug in.....voila!

I'll edit this post after my results of light output and clarity. Thank You for everyone's info. on this post!

Okay....posting this after a test ride. 1 bulb the Nighteye and the other bulb stock Halogen that came with the bike. Surprisingly......I'd have to say the stock Halogen works better! Having said this, I need to rotate the bulb and see if that makes a difference? I was going to try and do this when I was testing the light in front of an abandoned store (Used to be a Yamaha and BMW dealership) but the heatsink was too hot. Which is something else that I'm not sure of. It was about 80F when I just took this ride and I rode about 8 miles and the heatsink was too hot to touch. Not sure how hot the halogen gets to compare. But I don't want to melt the surround plastic or discolor or melt the light lens. Someone can give more insight on this?
I tried to take a picture. I'm dumb when it comes to photography and one wouldn't be able to make anything out in the picture. I used my phone for this.

Another thing, my next door neighbor pointed out an allen head adjustment screw between the removable socket and heatsink. But the directions say it is adjustable for the H13/9004/9007. So after rotating the bulbs in a different direction in the sockets and seeing the result; I may fiddle with that adjustment screw (unless someone here advises me otherwise..)

And yet another edit....I rotated the bulb, no difference. I messed around more by putting my hand over each bulb and noticed the right bulb (right bulb sitting on the bike facing forward) which is where I had the halogen was aimed higher than the left side which had the led nighteye. So I put both bulbs as the nighteye. I still think the Halogen is better. Not sure how much better but it seems to light further and with more clarity. I did notice also when putting my hands over the lens from the front of the bike; the halogen side was hotter. I need to do a better test ride. I just was in my neighborhood and it's pretty well lit. I tried riding up and down some of the darker streets but I need to find a place that darker.
I also messed around with the adjustment screw which I mentioned above and it does nothing but hold the bulb to the socket. But I can see with a different socket the bulb could be rotated in the socket. (Would've nice for the H7)

Yellowish light somewhat brings out the surface textures better than what white. I tested my phone flash led by placing a yellow tint over it. Yellow light appears to shoot further. Same led but yellow seems to light up better.

Here are 2 pictures with Nighteye's on both sides. One is low beam (first picture) and the other high beam. I was about 25 to 30 feet away on flat surface. I'm sitting on my bike taking the picture with my camera on my phone.

Opinions on how my headlights are aimed please....
