All the non ES owners will tell you the extra money is not worth it, but as an ES owner i'll say if you can afford the extra then its a no brainer as the heated grips are great and the suspension is a great system and like the non ES it takes a bit of fiddling to find 'your' settings but its with buttons rather than tools.
*que non ES backlash .......*

I just got my non Es, it is 2013 brand new, no miles, no oil in the engine, for under 10k out of the door. I love this bike!

You will be very happy with the Yellow. I went for a 2015ES in yellow. Extremely happy.
Some hate it, others of us LOVE it. I find more folks asking about the bike at fuel stops, now that I have yellow.....

Not sure what you bought but yellow wasn’t available in 2015 and is only available in non-ES for 2016. Your dealer would have created a yellow 2015.

I guess it is officially mine. It is now parked in my garage and the farkle race is on. I have already ordered the crash bars, risers, spoke to Baldwin Seats to get put on the list and Monday will order the shield. I still have no idea what bags I want, so I will continue the search.

Did you get yours from Team Mancuso on 59? That's where I got mine a month ago. Jealous of your color. If you got it there I should have set you up with my guy. Very good experience. He's the sales manager for ther Ducati/BMW/Triumph - but also sold me my tenere.

Yes, I purchased it from Mancuso. I had a good salesman he didn't try to BS me or act like he was all knowing.

Good to hear. The one I had was good as well. I normally hate dealing with most anyone selling anything but they were really good.

Do you know of any good rides within the few hour radius? Most everything seems to be paved. I road the coast from Freeport to Galveston tonight which was nice, but all paved. I think when I get different tires I'd be ready to tackle some of the beach trails in that area.

RhodeTrip,

I did the swap myself. Cost a bit under 1000$ for the tank and side panels. Only glitch was the red stripe on the right side on the ES cover. They don't make a stripe in yellow for that side, as you pointed out, there is no ES in yellow. I bought 2 of the yellow stripes for left side and am still working on bending them together to cover the right side red stripe. Ha, therefore I get ES AND Yellow! What could be better??? ;D

Believe it or not I did not purchase the T for off road. I am a big guy and the bike fits me well, so I will probably keep it on pavement. I am getting too old for that off road stuff because I do not heal as quick as I used too. :(

There are some roads in the north and northwest area. Check out the Two Wheel Texan site http://www.twtex.com/ they have a number of subscribers that like to get together ride dirt and off road and bang their bikes up.

Go north not south. Ride one hour north and I can get you on dirt and keep you there for an all day ride. I just returned this afternoon from a long ride west and might be going to Romney WV next week. Next ride I will PM you in advance.

Hey Fred, CONGRATS !
You need to ride that thing up to Cliff's next weekend to break it in. The more I ride mine, the better I like it.

Can't make Cliff's this year, I am headed to California instead. Going to be in the SUV since the wife does not ride (health reasons, before the critics drop in), but Oh well, I have some other trips planed for the T.
