I have mine in the top portion of the electical compartment, and to the right of the relays. I ground down one of the plastic ribs to make room for it.

Mine is in the same place. A razor blade takes the plastic off very easy.

Another fuseblock question. If you are hooking up wires such as a heated clothing harness, do you cut off the fuse holder, since there will be a fuse in the PC-8? Also after cutting off the ring terminals, should I "tin" or apply solder to the bare wires?

I cut off the inline fuse for my Gerbing wiring since the PC-8 circuit was fused. I just made sure to use the same amperage fuse. :) I don't see any need to tin the wires that are connecting to the PC-8. Since it's a compression connection I think it might actually hinder the connection.
