I pretty much agree horse power means a lot more to other folks than it does to me, for my use the stock Tenere already has way more power than I need. I wish mine had come with cruise control , self canceling turn signals and a single sided swing arm so it would be easier to change the rear wheel.mrpete64 said:The only reason that the Tenere isn't as popular as other dirtwings is due to the horse power rating. Unfortunately, that is what drives reviews/sales. If this bike had 135 hp from the start I am sure it would have sold a lot better. Do you "really" need it..of course not. But, that is what reviewers look for. If it had 150 hp like a KTM I am sure it would have been the greatest Adventure bike of all times...in someone's review.

p.s. I'm 71 and still love my 2014 Tenere ES. Can't wait for the snow to melt so I can go riding.
