Just can't wait to get on that road again...............

This time I'm headed for Nelson BC to attend WeSTOC XVI: http://www.westoc.ca/

I'll leave here Saturday and spend the night in Gillette WY with relatives and then continue to Missoula MT Sunday with arrival in Nelson on Monday.

Be there "Carving the Kootenays" all week and head for home Friday. Based on my previous riding experience in BC, it should be a great experience both for rides and scenery!

So, if you see a black FJR streaking either direction, give me a wave!!!

;D

Have fun, looks like a lot of good riding ahead for you.
Have you ridden Hwy 14 across the Bighorn Mtns from Ranchester to Lovell ?

Thats one of my favorite roads in the U.S.

Thanks Rem and hope you have a good one as well. My wife was going, but due to some unexpected events, looks like I will be riding without her.

My wife's favorite way to travel .... sans Rem. Kidding ... well, mostly. Sorry to hear that. Let's be careful out there.

I'll find out tonight if we're going. I think so but the boys are making last minute changes on me. I might have to go over and pi$$ on their tires. I'll let you know. R

Have a great trip! Man, your wrist healed up fast. With all the miles you've been putting on lately I'd think you got a bionic implant? :lamp:

Have a good trip and ride safe. That'll be a fantastic run that will and the FJR is just the bike for it :)

Thanks!! The wrist still has limited motion (I'd guess it at 80%), but otherwise doing well. This will be my longest trip, but not my longest single day since the accident.

Good on ya Rod, the best way to get the wrist working is to use it! When I snapped the radius in mine, I stuck with the PT, and was even riding the bike to my appointments at the end! I got back to 85% rotation, and full supination/pronation.

I need more saddle time, and less airline seat time...is it August yet?

Agree!!! I have finished up on the "official" PT, but continue on my own. Seems like whatever I'm doing (other than sleeping and a few "other" activities), I'm flexing/stretching the wrist. On the MC is clearly the best therapy!!!

I almost forgot, make sure you have a good wrist brace (if you didn't already get one after the hardware was removed). You will at some point over do it, and being able to immobilize it (temporarily) helps.

I do have one and had it with me on my last MC trip. Used it a couple times. Thanks for the reminder to pack it again for this trip!!!

Our forecast looks to be about the same. I would rather it be a little on the cool side than in the 90's (or warmer). I handle about 65-75 about the best.
