Awesome Bob. I betcha racked a few when you did the out west tour. I'm at about 5000 mi. but like you, I've got a couple of other bikes that beg for some riding time.

Congrats on reaching the 10K mark. I was at a good pace with about 5500 miles at the one month mark. But vacation ended and had go back to making a living. Only managed a around 7500 to this point. The more I ride this bike the more impressed I am. Yamaha hit a grand slam with this one. ::012::

the Tenere is a great one, isn't it Bob? I believe mine is the best motorcycle I've ever owned (and that's a bunch!)

Congrads on the 10K mark. I am at 8100 and heading to Arkansas this weekend with my wife. Her birthday and she wishes to ride Push Mountain on her 696. Our first time to ride with heated gear. I really like this bike.

I wish I was closer so I could make Moonshine. I've got something on Saturday anyway. I sure as heck miss Terry though. He would have lit this place up with his constant good humor and banter over his Super Tenere. I wish he'd have had a chance to ride it.

Wow, I missed the Moonshine post. I was supposed to do yard work Saturday, but I may go to Moonshine. I'm only 100 miles from there. Hope I can find it again.

Garmin is confused about the location of Moonshine but the GPS will get you close.
Its about 1 mile south west of where the GPS thinks it is.
IIRC, its at the intersection of County Rds 300 and 600

Correct, the built in coordinates for Moonshine are NOT correct. I have the REAL ones plugged in to mine though!!!! ::012::

I would like to take credit for 49 of those miles...but I promised not to tell anyone that you had to ride the Vstrom...no one is probably listening...heard you had a good time at Moonshine.

I was there in 06 on a Goldwing, 07 again with an ST1300, and last year with a DL1000...hope to be there again in 2012. I was fortunate to have been at the Nov Moonshine the week before Terry passed...smaller crowd but a great ride..justboB usually shows me some good roads there and back to Louisville.

Great fun reaching the little milestones Bob. Glad some of our brethren are riding their bikes instead of polishing them in the garage or re-painting them. ;) Only at 8200 here, but I was riding the FJR a few thousand miles too. That's up for sale, so the S10 will shortly get all the love.

What's this "season" some of you talk about? Even when I lived in Oregon, I rode all year. Oh right, some of you suffer from solid di-hydrogen oxide problems about this time of the year and it doesn't clear up until Spring. They have a cure for that now, don't cha know? :D
