Consider taking the Dempster up to Inuvik. Beautiful ride. Not as far north as Prudo but MUCH more beautiful & interesting.

Your right Bob. Well I've made it to Fairbanks and got a room at the UAF campus. I've seen a blue ST with Utah plates on it. Anyone's here??

That's far enough. I know several people who went to Prudhoe who wouldn't go back. Great pictures!
Allow me to disagree. I think anyone that makes it to the Artic Circle will be cheating their self out of a big reward by not going on to Deadhorse. If you're going to ride 10K miles, make sure to see the end of the road.

My biggest piece of advice about the Haul Road is to watch for a change in the color of the road. They will go out and rip up a long section of road and it will be a darker color where they worked on it.

Riders have rode everything on the Haul Road from bicycles to mopeds to Goldwings. Just show the road the respect it deserves and you'll have a great time.

Make sure to stop at the Hotspot Café to eat. They have HUGE sandwiches and sell stickers and souvenirs for the Dalton. Stickers and other things.

I've ridden to Prudhoe and also wouldn't go back, but that's only because there are so many roads and so little time. My advice to anyone that rides as far as the arctic circle is do yourself a favour and ride the rest of the way to Prudhoe. You will not regret it.

I would defiantly go all the way back to Deadhorse again .
One thing I have noticed a lot is when I tell folks that we rode all the way to Deadhorse or Prudhoe Bay, they don’t know what I am saying, But if I tell them we rode 500 miles north of Fairbanks and waded in the Arctic Ocean then they are impressed

I always ask them if they saw Ice Road Truckers and most have. Then they know what the Haul Road is.

I'll be making the trip to Deadhorse at the beginning of next month, looking forward to your thoughts and appreciating what you've posted so far.

Are you going alone?
Are you going through Hyder?
I might see you there.

I'm not going alone, group of two for most of the trip, but we meet a friend from the west coast in Dawson Creek. We are not planning on going through Hyder, it's a whirlwind tour. Almost 8k miles in 14 riding days, one rest day. I'll be on a blue ST with a Wee Strom and a blue FJR, holla if you see us.

Looks like you seen more of the Denali Highway than I did. Still looks a little rainy though.
