Is it? I've not noticed that .... I thought the whole thing was designed from top to bottom .... except the indicators.
exact match for the current Yamaha R6s (not sure if ya'll have that across the pond still)...which is the same as an '03-'05 R6.

Keen eyed JC .... hadn't realised that. In guess it helps keep the cost down. The unit looks good on the XT it suits the bike.

Don't look as cool as I thought it would, shame, it may grow on me though..

Not herd anything about the 1200 models for a while now.. got my ear to the ground though
my first impression is that the F800GS is a better looking bike, but looks aren't everything.

I was thinking about the 1200 rumors today, and if Triumph did release it with a shaft drive, I'm not sure if I'd trust it. Yamaha has a lot of shaft drive history, but as far as I know shaft would be new for Triumph.

I agree the BMW does look better, will go and see one in the flesh as soon as a dealer has one, I second that on the shaft drive, have Triumph ever made a shafty before?

Most certainly. The Rocket three is shaft driven. Now that puppy puts a whole lotta power down in one go. 8) I like the new muscle version with the conventional seating position. Would defo consider owning one of those.

I love that stuff. Muscle bikes certainly do it for me.

Here ya go, ya lazy bastids!

wouldnt mind adding this to the arsenal. Think it would round out the collection nicely.

1 - Trackbike (R6)
1 - Urban Terror (S3)
1 - Adv (S10)
1 - Cruiser (Diavel)

The missus is apparently right brained, as she didn't see it that way.........

Pretty cool bike. If the XR660Z never makes it to our shores, this one may find a spot in the garage next to my S10.

I'm liking the Triumph Tiger 800 (non-XC version) a whole lot. Looking forward to trying one on for size this summer sometime.

This site has pictures of the upcoming Tiger 800 models. They are introducing both an on and off-road model.

The 1200 Tiger is no rumour. It will hit the shelves in about 18 months and this is why I am not sure whether or not to wait or go for the ST

dealer network as well. I can't find a reputable place here in Richmond to service my Speed Triple.......
Likewise, I had a poor dealership network in S. Carolina. The clutch cable went out on my Sprint St and my bike was in the shop for 30 days.

The 800XC is the major reason I didn't jump on pre-ordering a S10. My local dealer has the standard 800. I really need to ride one fairly quickly to decide if I'd rather have one of those or the Yamaha. The Triumph has a 2-year warranty which is appealing.

I've got a line on a S10 that someone who pre-ordered doesn't want. So, that's why I still have a little time. O:)

I think the new tiger and the Super Tenere are very different bikes. You have to examine what your priorities are as opposed to comparing these bikes side by side.

I took a tiger 800 (standard version) out for a long demo ride this weekend. I was never interested in one, but I just wanted to try it out. The low end is very anemic if you are at all used to 1000cc+ bikes. If power is important to you, you will get bored with that bike rather quickly. I was just about bored with it by the end of my test ride. Besides that, it offers few of the features or adjustability that the Super Tenere does. The front forks aren't even adjustable.

But that was my take because I am primarily a road rider. I'm not buying the Super Tenere to ride in dirt. If I did do a lot of off-road, I would probably look at something smaller. But in terms of road touring, the tiger 800 is certainly not in the same class at the super tenere.

That being said, the tiger 800 is a good overall motorcycle if that's your thing. The motor and gearbox are both very smooth and the suspension is pretty good right out of the box.
