That is what I went with. Still cheap! ::008::
I may have to try this. It looks too easy not to!OldRider said:Spend the extra $15 and get the metal adjustable one. It works better and will last forever.
SAme here...... been putting Vista Cruise throttle lock on my past few bikes and it does the job.OldRider said:I went with a Vista Cruise. You can flip it off & on with just your thumb. $35-$40.
The trick with the Vista Cruise is to make sure it's biting the grip all the way around. If you remove the grip and slide the VC up and down the throttle sleeve several times, you can see where the VC is touching the sleeve. Sand down the high spot in the VC just a little and slide it on again. It took me doing this about 5-6 time (10 minutes or 1 beer) to get the VC where it was touching the throttle sleeve all the way around. When you get it to this point, it takes very little pressure for it to hold the throttle where you set it.AVGeek said:Another happy Excel user here. I tried the Vista Cruise on both my FJR and my Ten, and I never could get them to hold correctly. For me, the only thing better than a GOOD throttle lock would be the electronic cruise on the 2014...
+1 on the Excel. It's a great product. Pricey, BUT it is the best non electronic I've ever had, and over the last 47 years I've had pretty much all of 'em. Tom is a great guy to work with as well. Great service, great product. Highly recommend!creggur said:A touch pricey, but worth every penny... Excel.
You bought the wrong bike...dangerousdana said:I am a new 2013 Tenere owner.
I pm'd Brian over on the ADV site and within 5 minutes got a reply. Lots of good reviews and the ADV discount doesn't hurt either. Looks like quality kit-I'm going to give it a try.gsinnc said:If you are considering a Go-Cruise then you need to go for one of these! Works perfectly and totally engineered to the max!
