I bought a new helmet and need some advise on it. I bought the LS2 Vallient II because I love the looks and features, a couple of years ago I bought the original version but, as it turns out, was a seriously wrong fit. The original was a Long Oval and my head is an Intermediate Oval, the original fit so badly that I actually burst a blood vessel in my eye, only then would they take it back as they kept saying I needed time to work it in. So I went back to buying an HJC, I have only ever had HJC and Bell and they have always fit perfectly from the start so this "give it time to break in" was totally foreign to me.
Did my research and this new Vallient II is now a long Oval so I thought I would give it a shot again. I have been wearing this new one around the house for half an hour to 45 minutes at a time, probably have about 2 hours, maybe 3 and it still feels tight and a little akward feeling. No hot spots really, it is fine while it is on but when I take it off it feels like I had something on my head. Not really a headache but just a tight feeling, size is correct as I tried a larger and a smaller and they were both totally wrong.
Does it really take you time to break it in? Not sure if I should take it back, which they will do as it has not been on the road and stickers are still on it.
