So far...we have the love of motorcycles in common..
I'm Christoforos, just call me Chris....some seem to like Christo....that doesn't sound so bad..
I'm a "jack of most trades"......
My wife Kay.....she's been a specialist with autistic children for the better part of 14 years....
We purchased this Grey Tenere as a demo with 400 miles on it, about a week before our wedding....on the first few days we were married,we ran it out around Death Valley and found it to be plenty capable 2up on Tarmac & dirt roads.
I myself get the most enjoyment out of it thru the curves of the angeles crest hwy....
Sure hope to meet up for rides with some of you thru the years, look forward to it.

Cristo, welcome and great choice of colour! I am looking to find my way down to your part of the continent sometime this year. For now I have to be content just looking at the bike as it sits in the garage waiting for the big melt! Cheers, David

There's no way I'm keeping that stock "windshield" on Grey year round OldRider....Kay(Lawful wedded Wife) and I are headed 409 miles soon to west Sacramento..,the place were goin is California Scientific for a new windshield,I'm 6'4" .....there large adds 6" over stock height..the XL adds 7.5"....for the cold,I can't imagine anything better...they keep the sharp, good looking lines of the stock tener....the rest of those aftermarket offerings out there don't look near as good....

Christo, I am in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, north of Montana, and would be winding my way down through Idaho, Utah, Colorado and Arizona to California. Probably make it a 3 to 4 week trip sometime in the fall so I can leave the bike with friends in Palm Springs and return again in the spring of 2015 to make the return trip back north as another 3 - 4 week journey. Early stages. For this type of trip I tend to start with a general route and let the conditions and my mood dictate how it unfolds. Cheers, David

Combo,My uncles in the Dallas/Ft Worth area,on a lake, haven't seen him in years,he has a deep fat fryer on his pontoon boat and frys up catfish...sometime in the future I'm sure we'll be riding Grey out to see him and his wife, would be great to catch a ride with you.
David, next year..on your way back to Canada,if you remember to give me a heads up,if you wouldn't mind,I'd like to test my meddle and get a challenging ride along side..to the Canadian border.
SugarHighRider,if your up for it,and you have an interesting ride down the hill, let me in on it.
The point here,to get some experience under my belt..what better way?

BAILEY,when I was a trucker back in 2001/02.....I stopped thru Louisiana once..there was a truck stop off the TEN that had caged Tigers..they had the best damn cook in that kitchen I'd ever taken food from.
Hey Don.My wife Kay..drove me from Pinon Hills to Stockton..to look at two trucks, one a 65 3/4 ton Chevy....it had been sitting in a small pasture ...strait six, four speed..ended up going for an old orange 70 Chevy..up in your area,I like that tall windshield on blue thunder there in your avatar.

Evenin Don,
Yea,I'm the guy planning a trip up there soon, for there XL windshield..
W/the seat concepts kit in place on the high setting I'm over the top of the stock shield.
Not sure if I'll like looking THRU a shield until I put it on in their parking lot before I hit the freeway.
They say if I don't like it,they'll trade it out.

We just drove through Oceanside yesterday - Did ya hear us yell "hi?"
::025::
It was during the massive rain and we were on 5.

Today we are visiting the Rock Store and showing KB my old haunts.

Too bad we are in a rented Chevy Impala.
