I mentioned some time ago on ADV rider that I was going to name mine "Fallout" due to the delay caused by the Tsunami and nuclear meltdowns and in tribute to the Japanese people in their time of need. I don't normally name my bikes (especially don't give them a female name, no offense intended to those that do). Well, now that I do have the Big Black Beast, damned if I don't call it Fallout. I think they do look pretty post-apocalyptic in Raven, so it fits, for me anyways. So, Fallout it is...

I've never felt the need to name any of my bikes but often ended up calling them all sorts of things if they broke down on me. However, shortly after riding it home, my youngest daughter misheard the factory designated name for it and it's been called "SoupyTen" ever since. ::)

My past bike was a green '12 Kawasaki Ninja 650 named Steve. My now black '12 S10 is named Bigger, Blacker Steve.

OK I have been known to name my bikes and cars. I may name this one after a girl in my class at the academy many moons ago. Nieves had no trouble keeping up with the guys and was pretty much a live wire, hell on wheels kind of girl. We sat together and every time it was necessary to team up with partners to take down a big role player, (usually a Georgia trooper) she would pick me. They probably let us win.

Here is a picture of me and Nieves after my unsuccessful trip to the kill house. (the pink spots are simunition where I was double tapped)

I believe the name Nieves translates somewhat to "snowflake". Perfect for my white 13.

I named mine silver. Because its the matte gray color and after thr lone ranger's set of wheels.

I haven't named my S10 yet. However, my first police bike, which was a BMW K100LT, I named the "Memphis Belle." When a colleague asked why I told him that I just wanted to come home after every mission. Hey, it worked! :D

I took the liberty of renaming trikepilots Tenere.

Was "Fancy"
Now it is "rat#1"

AWESOME Tenere, by the way. My favorite, in fact. Emotionally, at least.

I rarely name vehicles but this one came to me right off. 2015, red...Ginger. I have a soft spot for redheads. :) I just hope she isn't temperamental!
